Hello, thank you for sharing your experience in storing your photocard collection! I enjoyed the video cause I can see you are passionate about collecting and enjoying it too. I have a "concern" that I want to ask though, if you don't mind ofc. I'm also interested in collecting pc like my heart wants to collect, but my brain tells me I don't have to collect cause yeah "I don't need that much" thoughts...but still... my mind start rationalizing like "every person need a collection to have a motivation to work hard" 😭 like every person need an activity in 'academics, sports, hobbies, arts' to grow and glow. Also like "there are ppl collecting pokemon cards, lego sets, postcard stamp, you are not that differents, it is just in different form of item"... in conclusion, I need help haha... it is a go and forth conversation with myself, so I want to ask you as a collector what is your opinion regarding this?

@@khansa5889 hi, thank you so much for your comment and watching this video💖 this is a really good question and a hard one too! I don’t think there’s a right or wrong answer to this. I also struggle to keep up with my collection and I constantly want to collect every single thing which put me in so much financial pressure. Now I set a goal to collect only the album pcs and the rest (i.e. pobs/lds/merch) will be selective. I also reduce the amount of album versions I collect bc I also ran out of storing space and also they’re are expensive. This is how I go by while collecting but you don’t need to follow such rule when you start your collection. I think the most important thing is your decision. One thing to remember is to never prioritize collecting above everything else (ex. you have bills to pay so you have to provide for that). Your everyday needs/health should be your top priority and collecting is at the lowest. I don’t have advice how to financially budget since every person’s situation is different. Collecting is really expensive and pls keep this in mind. At the end of the day, even though collecting somewhat gives you happiness, they are not the only reason to be happy. If you really want to start collecting, start with something small. Look for ways to get pcs with cheaper prices. I usually buy mine in mercari japan at the buyee site. There are also sites like neokyo but pls do your research and watch videos on how they work. Remember that they do add up and are costly plus shipping is also expensive. It’s easy to get persuade by other people’s collection but never compare theirs to yours. Don’t pressure yourself too much and always enjoy the process. If you feel pressured and lose all the happiness then it’s time to step back and rethink, or take a break from collecting. I will be pinning your comment so hopefully others can reply with their experiences/advice! Happy collecting and good luck! 😊
