Storing Whiskey in a Decanter Pro Tips

I found a tiny amount of black mold on interior of my decanter so I used some rubbing alcohol iso alc diluted with water 70/30 to sterilise clean and hopefully kill and removed and black mold

How best do you pour whisky into a decanter? Put a funnel on top and just pour it in or tilt the decanter and slowly pour it in?

This video goes against almost everything I've ever encountered with decanters and that you can in fact story because whiskey will not simply turn after 24 hours. That's kind of the point of a decanter is to store for a long. Of time.

This video is like what's the point of buying a decanter if its not a good idea to store your whiskey etc in one except for serving and most de antlers are not tiny so most people won't empty an average sized decanter in a 24hrs period

Best use for a decanter buy a bottle or 2 of some more expensive bourbon like eagle rare then by an ultra cheap bourbon like JTS Brown at $9.00 a bottle then pour the JTS brown into the decanter and put it up right next to the eagle rare. Invite your friends over and tell them you got some really good bourbon (which you did when you got the eagle rare you just didn’t say you would serve it to them) serve the JTS brown from the decanter and see if they can tell or have the balls to call you out and tell you it taste like ****.
