Storm at Christmas!

This was a weird storm front at Christmas--more like it should come during Summer when cooler air and warmer air collide, but no. 80mph straight through our town. Of course, these days people need butter and will drive to get it NO matter how dangerous the weather is for them.

I live in New Orleans and that type of storm is not uncommon here, however not in December.

Good Lord, how do you manage? It was one storm and that’s usually out of a few years I couldn’t fathom having it every year or anymore.

@@skipperpetetravel We probably get two or three of those per summer. They are generally pretty short lived, like 30 - 45 mins and then it clears up. There is a saying in the south that if you don't like the weather wait 5 mins and it will change. LOL

@@skipperpetetravel Actually to answer your question on how we manage, the same way that you did, stay inside until the worst passes. It also helps that a lot of people down here have whole home generators, especially since Hurricane Ida a couple of years ago when the electrical grid to the entire Greater New Orleans area was devastated and we had no power for over 2 weeks. At least the generators make the power outages more bearable.
