Storm Babet causing flooding in North Wales, UK 2023

Sorry to my subscribers, there's no new lesson this week because I'm out trying to prevent the studio from flooding as a result of storm Babet.
A storm has hit Wales and much of the UK called storm Babet and it is mainly just heavy rain. Because of this it has caused a lot of flooding. This video was taken from the front of my house and shows the water running down the road.
UPDATE
Thankfully the storm has passed (I think and hope) so I can get back to work again.

No . . lots of roads and houses flooded. I just filmed outside my house for the reasons explained in the description. 😊

@@_emme_._esse_Yes, agreed. I remember a couple of years back the sun here went orange at midday and it was caused by the smoke from the fires in Portugal (1000km away) . . I find fire far more scary than water. 🤔

My grandfather came from Wales and I always enjoy watching video's of the beautiful countryside. To see such flooding is horrifying. Rushing water can cause more damage than just about anything, so stay safe while protecting your own! We will keep you in our prayers.

Here in Florida we experience this situation several times a year. Probably more. We learn to live with it. It looks like your city planners have done a good job. Ours have not. Flooding in our basement. Albeit 4 times in the last 35 years. Still lots of damage.

That sound like hard work and very stressful. This is just a small town but I think the geography helps some and not others, Wales is very hilly. 😊
