That is simply amazing photography! The light over the cliffs is breathtaking! The Channel always takes my breath away! The very fist time I saw it in France, I was shocked it was pale blue. All those years of watching WWII movies, the channel looks dark and treacherous. Imagine my shock to see that pale blue fading into navy! It’s a memory I’ll hold in my heart forever!

New subscriber here from Houston, Texas, and already loving the content. Looking forward to your future adventures! We also have an RV motorhome, and mostly explore around the South Central US region. It's a bit larger 24 feet long and 11 foot tall (8m x almost 4m), and suppose you would refer to our unit as a "caravan". In any case, I'm so impressed with your creative and positive use of a smaller space, and a bit envious of the range of places you're able to visit. If I watch long enough, maybe I'll be prepared to drive on the other side of the road once visiting the UK becomes an option for us.

You will be welcome 🙏🏽, but when you come I would advise against hiring a large Moho, because of cost and penalties returning them , if you can manage with a smaller one like Ken and Carol It’s cheaper to buy one and insure it that way you can take your time touring and sell it on when you return .

Hello and welcome. You have the comfort and we have the ability to almost park and enter anywhere. Our rig is fine for shorter trips, max we have done is 5 weeks but I doubt we could last much longer than that. We have always enjoyed the US when we have visited and I am sure you would have fun over here. Both places are very different but with our common language easy to navigate

I found this channel recently and have watched a few of the videos. I wanted to see if they really are relaxing; and I agree, they are. My Nana immigrated from Hartleypool to California in the mid-1930's, traveling by boat with two small children. I have always wanted to travel around the places you go; so now I can be an arm chair traveler. (I use mylar-sided bubble wrap to cover the windows in my older mobile home that has single pane windows; and it works a charm!). I'm 62 and would like to travel around the States, but I'm alone and it's just to scary.

Bubble wrap seems to be a keeper. If it is damp when it goes on/off how are you going to prevent mould? The rainbows, golden images and sky were amazing. Looking forward to part 2. Take care Gill
@LifeistooshortCK3 жыл бұрын
It is damp when it comes off but so far it's been dry again by the time it goes back up. It can be wiped off if you are careful but I will probably just unroll it when we get back home and let it dry off. I air the van often when at home so I am not worried about that but if there was any hint of mould I would bin it and start over. I will also pull them down every now and then when at home base.

I must admit, when I switched from a gas heater to a diesel heater, I did notice a large reduction in condensation. I still have gas for cooking, and taping conservatory plastic sheeting over the glass windows Dec-Feb, to make a "double glazing" really keeps it under control. For the windscreen, I find RainX spray works, but you have to top it up every couple of days, bit of a nuisance, but it works.
@LifeistooshortCK3 жыл бұрын
Good tip on the plastic sheeting. What tape do you use Hugh ?
@hughjasse33753 жыл бұрын
@@LifeistooshortCK I used the narrow, black Gorilla tape you can buy in most DIY stores. It came off fine last year, but it's tough stuff, so if your window rubber seals are the soft kind, test it first. Mine are as hard as plastic, so no problems.

try a double layer of bubble wrap, we have had to do that when we've had polar blasts here in nz with our barely insulated houses.
@LifeistooshortCK3 жыл бұрын
Double would be better but would also take up a bit more space when we have them down for driving. I may give it a go if I can find an easy way to get two pieces to stick together and become one. We used a vacuum sealer on a small test piece to good effect but that wouldn't work on the front screen. a flexible spray glue might work.
@gilliantempleton32533 жыл бұрын
@@LifeistooshortCK try double sided tape, do around the edges to seal the two layers together or even make a border with duct tape then maybe stick the double thick bubble wrap to the windows with double sided sticky tape.

Would be interested to know if you were to change your van what interior differences would you like to have, or see as essential, great vlog,,,,,,,,You should come to Ireland and do the Wild Atlantic Way sometime, love to have you ..

Hi John. We have all the essentials we need in our van but if we were to change it for a bigger van the ideal would be a bed that comes down from the roof but hides away during the day to reveal two comfortable loungers 🙂 We visited Ireland in 2020 and drove down part of the Wild Atlantic Way. We will have to make a return journey one day to see more kzbin.info/www/bejne/mWjIZ4SKpNCkqpY

Wonder if Bubble Wrap would work under a mattress, great video as usual.

To be honest Michael I don't know and we don't have a removable mattress in our van, just the seats and a mattress topper. I think the problem would be the weight would just pop the bubbles. Ventilation is probably a better bet for that problem.

Just goes to show once more that more often than not the rubbish isn't left by the campers but by the disrespectful local youth. Same where I live. No campers around, but plenty of rubbish.

Hi Carol and Ken. Great vlog as usual. Can you tell me if the V60 dripper fits over those camelbak mugs you have? I have a a different brand of mug and the V60 does not fit, so looking for something that does fit. Thanks

Hi Debb, thanks for watching. Yes the V60 dripper does fit the camelbak mugs and we have used it in the van 🙂

Loving the your van I could do with one of those and do some exploring. Those meals look tasty and after watching your video I feel hungry. Great video footage even in low light conditions. What camera are you using is it a GO Pro?
