One of the most underrated anime games, the mechanics in it were quite unique, like logia, haki, Jimbei's water shot and Blackbeard's logia mode disable oponents devil fruit abilities or Luffy being somewhat immune to Enels lightning, etc... I hope one day they will release a sequel to this game.

Of all the anime fighting games I've played (3 or 4) this is my favorite, and not just because I'm a One Piece fan. I love the mechanic of taking in 3 guys and using them all and fighting untill the last one drops. I wish they'd add more Levels and characters. But ESPECIALLY more levels. They had a decent amount but I remember wanting more.

Tell that to ASAP and his Franky xD But yeah globally speaking the combos between various characters deal more damage than the ultimate of a single one most of the times, that and if you're not either an instant ultimate like Franky/Luffy/Enel etc... or a Conqueror Haki user. You leave yourself wide open.

@@Tibaaaz I said been awhile since I’ve seen all the Ultimates. Not just Franky. Hit stun is still a thing so it isn’t always the correct choice to pull out a long combo . Combos may deal a good chunk of damage with Unity but a combo can end with an Ultimate dealing a a lot more damage plus Awaken gives a damage buff and can sometimes be a safer option . Sure it depends on the character but if you have an open mind and don’t stay blind of potential opportunities you can go far .

Also on my opinion, Using Ultimate should be reserved for a last man situation, whether you're down to your last character and wanna try the comeback, or he is down to his last and you want to take no risk and kill him with a ToD. Otherwise when you awaken :If you aren't either a Giant that goes for instant Punish, or a Conq Haki awakening mid Combo: your left with more disadvantages than advantages imo: 1 The stun that leaves you Open 2 The inability to switch out 3 The inability to call for a Unity And knowing you lose all your bars if you switch out, considering Switching in is the BNb of Many Characters (Marco,Whitebeard,Smoker 2.5k etc..) And all around one of the strongest mechanic in the game. I still say that Awakening should be kept for a last man situation
