hehe, i remember playing this game at the SM MEGAMALL at pasig city, it was a twin cabinet, i got good at the game fast, or at least fair enough, a lot of whom i faced in this game failed to beat me, but there was that one guy that was much better than me, and holy shit did he beat me in this game by miles.

It's an (I think) Chinese firm called Wahlap.Tech. Yep, I'd never heard of them either before this.

I love traditional rendering, physically based rendering is overrated. Storm Racer looks great!

Great video and great summary of your initial impressions mate. I'll certainly get around to giving it a go some day(I too am dealing with a shitload of IRL issues and actually haven't touched any racing games in over 8 months). Just to clarify, have you tried with your wheel yet and if so, does it support FFB? I think I recall Boomslangz saying he would look into adding it but can't remember. There's also another Chinese arcade racer similar to this that I *I think* is available for TP but I forgot the name. When you're racing, it shows these really cringeworthy character icons making these weird faces. Arrggh trying to think of the name of it.

Is it the Speed Driver series? I think number 5 is the latest one out but could be 6. I've never played it but it looks a fun game. Also Valve R is another one with a funny (read irritating) female who keeps popping up 😂

It's a VOYEE Xbox 360 wired Controller. I specifically wanted to get a wired controller as I was getting fed up always needing a supply of batteries for both my official Microsoft wireless ones. I think the battery contacts in both are getting a bit dodgy as well, sometime they just turn off mid-game, which gets a bit fucking annoying.

I've been so impressed with it, I've decided to buy a 2nd one as a spare. As official controllers seem to be impossible to find these days, I thought I don't want to miss out on a decent 3rd party one whilst you can still get them for relatively cheap.

Wheel support, yes. There's no way to do local multiplayer (as in on the same PC) for any Teknoparrot racer. Some support LAN play over a multi-PC Network. Not sure if this game's one of them though.

You can use a wheel, you just need to change the game's config option from Xinput to Dinput. No idea what TP version I'm on - it automatically updates.
