That Clone was so cool looking with the alien face. What they have done with special effects colors in the last 40 years is so off the charts. Metallics, micas, marblizer effect, tri-tones, multi-tones. I've been an automotive finish color tech for 25 years so I have seen it all. Each ball really is a work of art. I'd love to see the color application at the factories. It has to have a very random "get what you get" with all those layered effects in play. The great thing is they don't have to specifically match anything else and each finish is it's own unique creation. For cars anyway if they used marblizer they would put down a black ground-coat, let that dry, then spray the marbilizer on and when it was still wet they would pat on it with wrinkled tin foil to give it the swirling patterns, let that dry then clear coat over it to seal it.

Tough center to bowl in with any strong covers. There is soooooo much built in friction. Part of why I did not choose to go. I didn't feel I would get a real read of the equipment
