Regarding your "socializing" with the NPCs at around @7:30 or so; this is the first game I've ever played where I'm pretty much always happy to see my NPC allies, not just because they're cool characters, but because they're my friends, and they actually get things done, and I know they care about me. I do the same thing as you, right-clicking everyone to catch up on what they've been up to. Also, the main reason I played all the extra Stormblood content was so I could spend as much time as possible hanging out with my turtle-bros the Blue Kojin. LOVE those guys.

It's understandable, yet absolutely criminal that the Werlyt storyline in Post-ShB wasn't voiced. Honestly I could listen to Gaius' voice all day. Smooth as butter.

I like how you went with the title "Imperial Nuisance" for the meeting with Varis. I think a lot of us did that (I know I did). I have to agree with one of the other commenters; Varis gives off serious Lucius Malfoy vibes. He may be an evil douchebag, but he knows how to play the game. I love your reaction to Aymeric and Hien hanging out, staring into each others' eyes. I'm sure all of us that aren't straight males felt the same. XD When Aymeric told us to return home, he meant the Rising Stones, but I say to him that Ishgard is my home. Edmont showing up and being Best Dad only reinforced this. As Warrior of Light, I never felt like anywhere was home until Ishgard. The Azim Steppe came to feel that way for me too, and eventually basically all of Norvrandt, but still not the Rising Stones. That said, when we did go back, that scene with Tataru became one of many where I am angry that SE doesn't have us hug NPCs in cutscenes.

Ghimlyt Dark is probably my favorite dungeon thus far. It's on par with some of the single player entry set pieces in terms of scope and scale.

Honestly, the timer in the final instance should go FASTER if you play as a Lalafell, since, lore-wise, they're among the fastest of the playable races. Also, welcome to Shadowbringers.

While Nanamo definitely does appeal to Varis humanity in an uplifting way, it must still sound like mockery to him. If the Garleans hadnt been equipped with Magitek they would probably still be the playball of all the other nations because they have no magic to rival them. It is kinda funny how the Garleans basically lead to all the selfish (now) good guys to come together and finally do something about their own injustices (of course under the influence of the scions and the WoL). And while I really like Nanamo and Raubahn, I cannot really say that they have Ul'dah under control, as Lolorito could basically do anything at the drop of a hat and she could merely scold him.

A bit delayed but Gaius realizations are always fun to see. ;) God that meeting was so infuriating in the first half. Varis was really bringing the “And yet you live in a society! I am very smart.” vibes. He should have gotten shut down several times over. The only person he had any real point with was Merlwyb and we called her out on that all the way back in ARR. Props to my mayor Kan-E-Senna for getting under his skin with the Ixal comparison though.
