Good stuff ! The printable armies are such a good option and a planning tool to know exactly what bases to buy to setup any given battle. And yeah, no point in going after the mistakes done, i'm sure you'll figure things out and is a fun learning process.

Thanks Alex, forgetting the rules is just part of the vagaries of war - at least that's what I tell myself. I have the printable armies, just waiting for some Warbases. The plan is to stick the prints onto the bases and then, because I love 6mm and have hundreds of 6mm bases, I will place some 6mm bases on top of the prints and set to. Hope that doesn't sound too crazy. I just don't like the look of 2mm but do like the look of Strength and Honour. Each to their own I guess.

An excellent way to get people into a new game/ruleset, especiall when the pennies are tight. Too many rules are wedded to particular miniatures nowadays. But I suppose it is where the money is.

I have read the rules through twice, now they make sense. I had no idea the ancient Britons employed political officers to push the war bands forward or such fear of giant black cats!😉 Or is Tiny attempting to rewrite history?😛

2mm figures don't do anything for me and this seems to be quite a common feeling. In order to improve sales I really think the Lardies or one of their friends shoould put up a battle report with 15mm or 28mm figs just to show ppl how it looks.
@StormofSteelWargaming2 жыл бұрын
I think their sales are doing pretty well by all accounts, TBH.
@glorfindel7772 жыл бұрын
I believe the rules are agnostic in terms of figure size. However, the use of 2mm (or 6mm) very effectively supports the size of battle that the game is trying to reflect. I previously had little interest in 2 or 3mm until seeing Mark's articles / videos but am now very keen to give them a go. Unless you have access to a huge table and thousands of 28mm figures, I personally don't think you will achieve the same sense of scale.
@StormofSteelWargaming2 жыл бұрын
@@glorfindel777 Yep, they are although the recommendation is 2mm, you can play in any size, I talked about it in the review I did recently.
@trevorhoffman97212 жыл бұрын
You can play with 28mm. Such as every guy is 500 other guys. Or on flat pieces of paper 0mm tall dots for every man. I like how it is played out on a grid. You can even test it out on graph paper.
@sirrathersplendid48252 жыл бұрын
