Manstein is the general who really developed the Blitzkrieg and perfected the roll of the German storm troopers in the invasion poland in the very beginning of WW2. Pervatin (methamphetamine) was also given out generously to the troops as well to secure a 3 day forward charge.
@alahorn4 ай бұрын
Manstein did NOT develop the "blitzkrieg" . It was Guderian and Thoma with influences from JC Fuller. Manstein however, was a great practioner of Blitzkrieg.

The Wehrmacht actually arrested SS troops at the beginning of the war until Hitler stepped in and had them freed. Hitler then made SS troops free from further prosecution by the Wehrmacht. was the Waffen S.S. really an “elite” fighting force? Curiously, it’s not what many Wehrmacht soldiers at the time said, and they often looked down on S.S. soldiers and considered them to be unprofessional,

While informative and the use of British narrators is excellent , the continuity is doubtful at best and often ridiculous. Talking of Poland but showing King Tiger tanks , pathetic Showing again Poland and then T34 tanks , stupid. I recently watched a show on the B24 Liberator bomber and despite thousands of miles of footage regarding the most numerous bomber of WW2 they showed an Avro Lancaster bomber while talking about the B24, tells me one thing . The editors the researchers dont know their jobs, if they claim too , then they should be fired.
