It's not 'everything within X meters and on the same y-level as me take damage', it's 'everything on any piece of ground within X meters of me take damage'. It's an unnoticeable difference in his intended arena, but now it begs the question if that X meters is a sphere or cylinder

Interestingly this is how the Hoarah Loux's Earthshaker ash of war works. The initial roar is a sphere around you, but the actual damaging hits can be jumped up close, yet still hit people on a higher elevation, so I wouldn't be surprised if this worked the same way. I think there are a few other ashes of war that work this way aswell.

Radagon wins by being so cool he styles on Stormveil, and poor Godrick didn't even know about his second form! Godfrey shows a bit of his Hoarah-Loux side by going out of his way to kill absolutely anything that moves, pure beastmode and clearly the most dominant survivor of the castle! Malenia shows why flying is a useful skill to have, since if her attack pattern played out in a way that left her more grounded I imagine she could've died from another stray ballista shot. A few good dodges really saved her. Godrick almost killed her lol could you imagine the ego on that man if he did? Godrick with lifesteal as if it makes a difference😂🤡 Radahn wins by playing smart, not fair. "You're right I can't survive Stormveil...but it doesn't have a ceiling!" This man was wasting all his time trying to kill Malenia when he could've scored a free great rune by just zipping to Godrick, killing him and getting out of dodge XD And Rykard was too busy getting eaten by a serpent to attend the party. Not that he'd even fit through the gate.

I think Malenia mostly lived because the ballistas can't seem to deal with crouching so during her Scarlet Aeonia they shot the ground instead of her. (you can also see it during the Morgott fight when they stance break him and start hitting his feet instead of center chest.)

Literally anyone could've taken godricks rune. Especially Malenia considering she defeated him and spared his life. The battle for runes feels like it wasn't about the runes at all, but defeating the rune bearers or something else entirely rather than just collecting them.

@@abhitejvelore All the factions have their own separate goals. The only one's who really wanted to access the Erdtree was Godrick, Morgott, Ranni and Rykard, and maybe Mogh. Rykard more so wanted to destroy the Erdtree while Morgott just wanted to access it, but he couldn't. Mogh's plan is unclear, but I assume he seeks to conquer the Erdtree for the Formless Mother. Ranni didn't care for the great runes or Erdtree at first, she discarded her own great rune, but later on she decides to replace Marika in the name of the Moon along with the player. Malenia and Miquella just wanted their own Haligtree to flourish, Radahn dedicated himself to Sellia and keeping Caelid and the Carian Royal Family safe, he doesn't have Elden Ring ambitions.

And anyone who wants access to the erdtree needed 2 runes to enter lyendel. We know radahn tried to enter lyendel but was held off by morgott, and having godricks rune would've made a bid difference. Malenia having another great rune would've made it a lot easier to deal with radahn and she literally spared godrick on her way to caelid. We don't know if any of them can actually wield 2 runes to start off with ofcourse. However, we are tasked with gathering 2 runes.

Indeed, on the final fight he really makes you feel like a bug on his room, and here it's more akin to a being sent to exterminate, no survivors. Other bosses are clunky as hell in terms of movement and attacks, but he seems to fit perfectly in an area he's not supposed to be. @@davidtsmith33 My guess is that all the bosses were auto-aggroed on Godrick whenever nothing else was in their range to make it work and them go towards him, and this played a trick with Radahn's phase transition. When he initiated the meteor attack, flew up in the sky, lost aggro on soldiers and switch targets to Godrick. At least it's the best explanation I can think of.

I had low expectations for this video, but HOLY SHIT was I wrong! The runs of Malenia, Godfrey and especially Radagon were so cool and cinematic they made the rest absolutely worth wading through! I'm curious though, how did you program the bosses for this? They were very consistent with following the path to reach Godrick specifically, as showcased by Radahn whose phase transition tracks his target and went straight to Godrick. And yet, they didn't walk in a straight line, didn't ignored the enemies in front of them (except for those who would have been a waste of time to reach, and Malenia skipping everyone after a certain point). Radagon even cleared an obstacle in front of him instead of walking against it as you would expect. How did you do it?

There are patrol programs in the game. For example some minions will walk around an area. This video is made with that.Radahn's Meteor is a procedurally controlled teleportation.Malenia's round was due to modifying Godrick's hatred value, and Malenia saw him halfway. So she ignored the minions around her.

Radahn was a frickin' rollercoaster. Radahn makes the *right* call about using his arrows while too far out of range. Radahn makes the *wrong* call about getting in close and swinging-- EXCEPT! That was actually the *right* call--forcing them to put him into phase two. Wait, but... Where'd he go? Why, Radahn just said "F*** this," and took the fight to Godrick, the *ABSOLUTE BEST* call!
