LM AO Wow you’re so original with the American fat joke 😂😂. I did do my research, and majority of the rap songs I listened to was monotonous. Maybe I’m not listening to the right ones, idk. Y’all always downplay American music like y’all don’t take influence from it, and try to emulate it.
@dancinqueen2335 жыл бұрын

Thomas vanDyke So every black girl dissed him and called him ugly? Come on man, that’s a cop out. I understand some women can be just as colourist as men but let’s be real, there are A LOT more colourist men out there than women and at the end of the day, black boys are raised by black women but then turn around and diss black girls- it doesn’t make sense. Preference is preference and everybody is entitled to like who they like but black men that “don’t like black girls” ALWAYS blame us for them preferring non black women and/or feel obligated to disrespect us while praising other races of women- it’s bullshit. Please don’t think all black women are out here clowning our kings! I was born and raised in England (Jamaican heritage- hence the pic) and 98% of the black women I know and have known (including myself) exclusively date DECENT black (dark skin) men. 🤷🏾♀️ Have a good night bredda!✊🏾
@erykahj.o.p15085 жыл бұрын
мαяιє I know she’s proud of her Somalian heritage and that’s good. I’m not saying she shouldn’t be. At the end of the day, mixed isn’t black and black isn’t mixed and like I said THATS OK. If black women identified as mixed it would be a problem. Double standards, but hey that’s the world we live in. ✌🏾

Thomas vanDyke it’s very ironic that he covering this song when the contradiction is he made colourist tweets. So what dose your comment have to do with him having colourist tweets? Since that was my point Please try and keep your own personal issues out of the topic cause it don’t really make sense.
@Natalia-mh9ru5 жыл бұрын
@Thomas vanDyke dat just sounds stupid tbh most girls actually love darkskinned men so I doubt they wudn't give stormzy a chance if he was a regular guy
@jasonekejiuba1665 жыл бұрын
@Thomas vanDyke this is actually nonsense what you just wrote. colorism is stronger when it comes to the females. I don't think girls will give him a second look because MAYBE he isn't their type. not because he is dark skin. majority of girls are attracted to darker skin men. so you're just wrong.

Laughing at all of the “Stormzy is colourist” comments. Laughing because I came to see if that’s what people would remember. I believe in forgiveness and moving on but the song doesn’t hit right when you get flashbacks of his past comments. It’s like Trump turning around and saying, “Actually, Mexicans are really, really nice people”. (I am exaggerating but you get the point.) I’d be giving him the 👀 too.
@tracey_km_5 жыл бұрын
CupCake Yeah but why should we forgive if the person doesn’t seem to be genuine or sorry about what they’ve done. Just because stormzy is singing a song that is pro black doesn’t make him pro black. His manager could’ve told him to sing this song and bbc so he can gain more recognition or whatever
@tracey_km_5 жыл бұрын
CupCake also how can we forgive if this insults and colourism happens to us everyday unprovoked many times. That’s like saying we should forgive white police men who killed black men because they said happy MLK day. Lmao bye

People can change. His mother is a black woman undoubtedly. Let this man grow. We have to praise our brothers when they correct their wrongs. Just the perspective of a black woman from America.
@FutureFendiFsnista5 жыл бұрын
It's true...people can change but he has yet to apologize for his colourist comments. Change of character includes acknowledging your mistakes and changing your actions. If he was out here making an effort to dispell colourism along with an apology then I would agree with your statement. However, doing a cover of a song by Beyonce who has been known for supporting ALL (emphasis on all) BLACK PEOPLE of all shades and trying to show love to our brown/dark-skinned black woman is offensive. Especially when none of the above has been made on his part.
