It's interesting watching people not from grime culture talk about this. I think a lot of especially us commentators' opinions on this and other clashes are based on watching them from a hip hop point of view. Stormzy and Wiley both made big tunes within their genres imo. Also, there's no way wiley regretted doing this - he doesn't ever seem to regret anything 😂

I'd put this track up there with no vaseline for sheer brutality and disrespect. Everyone keeps banging on about chip's diss and how Stormzy didn't make the effort to respond. What they all fail to realise is Stormzy had no need to respond to anybody he's already established his position in a way they can't begin to approach. He responded to Wiley because he was pissed that someone he respected decided to take offence when all he'd done was try to show respect. But as he stated in the song he did one more for fun then went back to making real art and real money. Letting all the bottom feeders splash around in their little pond pretending to be sharks. Check out Mel made me do it. And it's easy to see why he had better things to do than respond to every clout chasing clown who piled on.

What annoys me about this is that all the Americans that aren’t familiar with our scene think what Stormzy did with Wiley was amazing when in reality he only went back to back with him because he knew he’d win. I appreciate what Stormz has done for the UK scene outside of this but don’t claim to be the ‘king of grime’ when you make pop tunes and every time a grime artist has challenged you in the past there been tumbleweed and it repeated itself after this with Chip who sent for him and all he could do is sly disses back but never made an actual tune for Chip out of the fear of losing or giving someone else shine which goes against the whole point 🤷‍♀️🔥Rant over 😂😂
