I hope Shifer has a quick and painless recovery! That ankle looked rocked.
@Kev425013 күн бұрын
Normally when that happens on the inside of the ankle it usually causes an avulsion fracture where the ligaments are torn off the bone rather than just the ligaments themselves tearing. Hopefully it’s not that bad and just looked worse than it actually was 🤞

Great video, fun fact sleep progression like Benji said at 9:04 is an actual thing studies have shown that rather than "practice makes perfect" if a skill isn't going your way sleeping and then trying the next day can actually be beneficial.
@A-A-RonDavis24702 күн бұрын
Yeah, even just minutes afterwards, our brains, subconscious to us, play those memories and movements back 100 times forwards, AND 100 times backwards, only when we give idle time to focus on it, instead of doing something immediately afterwards.Our brains are working overtime to enhance the skill neurologically.
@K..C2 күн бұрын
The magical coding technique of "sleeping and then figuring it out in the morning" isn't just pure coincidence?
@Eric-zz5ijКүн бұрын
Yeah, although i dont think you are learning much with 1 try tbh, but maybe a little? Because when training a skill you need a lot of "data", so to speak, where you do things a bit differently each time. During sleep I think the brain just filters out the worse attempts and reinforces the good attempts. But if you only have one attempt then I don't think "sleep progression" as he put it, would work. It's moreso that MORE attemps wont be as beneficial anymore unless you first sleep, clean out the bad attempts and then you can do the same next day except this time you don't have to waste a bunch of time on more bad attemps.

If you want good friction you need to lean away from the wall, which means every step pushes you off the wall. This means you need to try to minimise the angle you're running on and be really careful about not pushing away from the wall to increase the amount of contact time you get from the wall, and maximise the amount of speed you have going into the wall.

I don't know what I'm talking about, but I believe you have to start short and finish tall, if you know what I mean. You lose grip as you stop moving towards the wall. You need to find a way of continually moving into the wall. Short legs at the start, long legs at the end. Having said that, I think you did the best anyone could. What do F1 drivers do for maximum grip? Super soft tyres on a hot day. Tyre blankets to keep the tyres hot until the last second.
