This is a true crime on the full story of Dr Ishola Oyenusi, it covers his arrest, trials prison breaks and sentence. He is one of Nigeria's most violent criminals of the 1960's, Oyenusi was a man who didn't hesitate to remove any obstacle to his goal. He was arrogant and proud . He is notable for escaping prison numerous times and was believed to have the ability of "appearing and disappearing at will". He was executed on the 8th of September of 1971 at Victoria island Bar beach in Lagos after a judicial reform that was introduced during General Yakubu Gowon's tenure as Nigerian military Head of State. Bringing Oyenusi's reign of terror to an end, he died at the age of 26.

I am in support of the capital punishment. Whoever is proven beyond "reasonable doubt" to have intentionally killed an innocent person should pay with his/her life.

I remembered as 10 year old reading about the oyenusi case in the Nigerian papers in the 70s. This video has brought me back to memory lane. One of the papers then, the now defunct ‘Lagos weekend’ newspaper, had on one of its headlines that it took 98 bullets to kill him. A correction I need to point out on your video is that wasn’t the picture of babatunde folorunsho, but that of Mr Oyazimo who was executed besides him.

What I still do not undersstand with the laws then is that when breaks out of prison having a sentence of 25yrs and then commits another crime and he is sentenced 10. Isnt it suppose to be a compiled sentence and even additional sentence for breaking out.

Most Oyenusi and Shina Rambo movies are not true. We need a movie that would be inline with documentaries like this ! In the case of Oyenusi I feel he is not just an ordinary armed robber. He must have been a real treat to the then government

I remember well, I was 21 when I heard mystic tales about Oyinusi. They said he was laughing when being shot and one soldier knew what he was using and walked up and shot his eyes out. I wasn't there. These were some of the myths.

We have all the president of Nigeria since the 1970, their hands in looted money and they should be treated as Oyenusi the Nigeria notorious criminal, a common criminal with few thousands of Niara is being executed but those who steal Nigeria oil money in billions and other resources with foreign accounts overseas are being celebrated today, they all deserve to be treated as Oyenusi, and face the same consequences as Oyenusi.
