Poor Jonathan lost his mother and his father and drugged and traumatised by him and changed into The Scarecrow

About Gerald Crane, I have an idea for him in a future Batman series: Gerald was a psychologist and teacher of Gotham university, who became more calm and serious after his wife died in a house fire. He eventually tries to rid of himself of fear by testing fear’s power on students. His boss would fire him, due to thinking he went too far. Gerald, deciding to test his experiments on Gotham University as revenge, begins doing the very thing they fear the most: ruin. Crane would start his plan by creating the fear toxin by stealing adrenal glands of high ranking students. He would test the toxin on his son, Jonathan, which leads him into an psychotic state of fear which would eventually make him into the new Scarecrow. When Batman interferes with Crane’s plans, he decides to test this man who apparently has no fear. He would subject batman into the fear toxin, making him see his parents deaths and him laughing and turning into the Joker (to show his fear that he is exactly like Joker). Batman would fight the toxin, much to Gerald’s shock and horror, and he attempts to shoot the Bat, but Gordon shoots Crane’s hand. Gordon and Bullock would shoot Gerald dead after he attempted to grab his gun. Jonathan would embrace his fear of Scarecrows and becomes one with his demon, now seeing his fear in a way his father didn’t: fear is not a disease, it’s a part of life that drives many things, and either lives with it or embrace it.

So... did his death occur because he LITERALLY wasn't afraid of the cops and their guns Thus signifying that fear, although often debilitating when in excess... helps us survive.
