Great improvements are developing everyday in the Railroad industry,,,37 YEARS I seen the industry PROGRESS,,, Things were kinda rough when I started,,, I am VERY glad TO see THE railroads are excelling in the maintainance of way,,, track and infrastructures

Wish we could have these equipments for where I work. I work on a small private line that is 80 miles, we still mostly do everything by hand. We use a knuckleboom crane mounted on a truck to move the ties around.

I think it is kind of coin two sides... if you use high efficient equipment, it means there is no need such more workers. Man lose job... Some times, it is hard to make decision to the company and government guys...

Other Videos on you tube Have shown track sections being Removed by An overhead style Gantry type rail Crane , it's just a matter of rejoining Rail Toggeher that slows the work up a little ! ,
