As someone who is a practitioner. You know and learn about spirit and when they are benevolent or if they are malevolent. There are people that don’t know what they’re doing and need guidance of someone more adept and is educated with what there are doing. Sleep paralysis is scary AF. It sometimes DOES feel like you're being held down by an actual person or being watched by something. Most people swear they see an actual figure in the room with them, holding them down, so its not a joke. Its frightening AF. The first time I went through it, I swore something or someone heavy was laying on my back, cause I couldn't even wiggle my damn toes or scream, all I could do was open my eyes and look around. Took me almost 10 minutes before I mustered up the energy to throw myself off the bed to regain movement again. I was anxious the whole week after that, damn near afraid to go to sleep for 7 days straight. Its not funny.

I grew up in the church I know what am saying. Multiple Christian denominations speak in tongues “the hole ghost” and whatnot. If you don’t do it then it’s not about you but it doesn’t mean it’s not done. And santeria (which was is sincretismo) is a mix of religions read up on what you’re talking about.
