I'm Dominican but born in the states. I didnt even know about the mythical beef until one day I heard my aunt say something about it and how she hates the beef...I was like "what beef" because I had a lot of Dominican friends and Haitian friends and we all got along. I then took the time to find out about online stuff. Left me in tears at the end tbh.

It amazes me how he brings people together from across the world... I always remember Fumi Desalu-Vold's story of how she met her husband... and she's definitely someone who honors her parents too... She too had to learn her husband's language. Abraham sent to a far place to find a wife for Isaac... There are correlations to these stories...

Honestly 2 major things! Going to the country and STAYING WITH THE LOCALS for 3 weeks straight. Then speaking to someone who ONLY SPOKE SPANISH. When you don’t have an option BUT to speak the language, your brain forces it’s self to learn. You don’t learn quickly if you have other alternatives to speak.
