Boo this is very good information, I know someone right now that was deported back to Jamaica, all because they took a plea deal and did not know the consequences. Glad you had a great lawyer that did the work needed for you to get your citizenship.

Sounds to me like a domestic violence case. In Jamaica men get away with abusing women. In the US, violence against women is taken seriously. Battered women file charges against their abusive spouse only to withdraw charges later. Its the Stockholm syndrome.
