Hey everyone! This is part 2 of the story of our daughters grand entrance into our lives. It’s not a pretty story , but i hope other mums who have similar experiences will feel comforted in the knowledge that this is something they can talk about…

Did also prepare natural birth but was over due with 41 weeks went in to be induced got admitted later that night went into natural labour and thought yeey girl you got this only to be in labour for 2 straight days after all that pain went for c section didn't get to hold my baby until the next day felt so bad when I woke up and upset that i didn't even think of my baby because I still felt drunk ...all that experience led to postpartum depression for me because back at home it was just me and my husband but better now getting the hang of things

Hey Panchoo, Congrats 🎉🎉 the reason you couldnt see the baby immediately is because by the time you came round ( off anaesthetic) she had already been taken to Nicu due to having ingested her poop. The waited for your catheter to be out because it means youd be mobilising well to the toilet before they take it out which means you could be taken to the unit or cleaned up for the unit. Had you had the epidural and was awake you would have been definitely handed the baby for skin to skin. But as you remember you were groggy and saying a lot so you werent with it and they had to work quickly on baby. Dont listen to these comments about them being cruel your practice worked well and safely…

Thank you for sharing, I went through the same after preparing for natural ended up going for c section. I used masamba emusango,just having tea just like tanganda it really helped. I did epidural so I held the baby after 12hours maybe it was because you had to inhale so maybe it took much longer to flash the medication out of ur system to be sober enough to hold the baby

Wooow.! what an experience glad you both came out safe. So what I have noticed with these remedies ka they’re kinda 50/50 because most people I have heard saying they did it they ended up not having natural birth which makes me to think kuti it actually makes your muscles down there tighter and making it harder to push ( it’s just my thoughts). During my pregnancy people used to advise but I never really did anything I would buy Ana derere and staff but ndaizvizwira husimbe and I was a couch potato but I gave birth naturally.. but again it depends from person to person too the remedies may work for others and not work for others. Which just makes me to think kuti hazvina formula lol

My story was very traumatic worse being in a foreign land😢 😢. My water broke on a Saturday 5am and had no pain at all stayed the whole weekend in hospital ndichinzi rova up and down. Ended up being induced on a Monday haa the pain mmmm apa they realized the baby was too big umwe akati lets do c-section umwe akatino lets push the baby out ndakaita kudzimbirirwa dumbu to push the baby out although vaive vacheka i got 3rd degree 😢. The pain of stitches was worse than labour, took me close to 5 months to heal. July 2021 so will never forget

Story of my life. We almost had a similar experience 31 December 2019. My due date was 12 December but it passed and was told to come and get induced on the 5th of Jan 2020. So I woke up with a fever ndaitsva zvekuyererera ziya ndotonhorwa zvekurovanisa mazino 30 December. I then went to the hospital and was admitted vakati we need to monitor you and the baby( I was not in pain). I slept well ndakaiswa belt. The nightmare was 31 December when I woke up and they said the baby was not okay( fetal distress). My BP was also very high. So they said I was going to have an emergency C-section to save 1 atleast because the situation was bad😢

I didn't even have time to wait for my birth companion ( my husband) it was a rushed C-section. They also knocked me out. I only woke up hours later ndatova murecovery room with no baby on my side. In my mind ndakafunga kuti maybe the baby ddnt make it since they said they were going to try and save atleast. I asked the nurse zvikanzi your baby is in the nursery you can't see her now. I had to wait for visiting when my husband and mom came. I asked my husband to go and see our baby and atleast take a picture 😢 but he came back without a picture hanzi my NICU ward hamubvumidzwe mapicture or videos. I didn't believe him,in my mind ndaiti hakuna mwana maybe haasi kuda kundiudza now. The next morning I asked to go see my baby zvikanzi we will take you later ndione time dziri kufamba and no action. I had to walk ndichibatira madziro, bleeding, crying,in so much pain😢😢😢going kuNICU ward to see my baby.

They did wrong by not allowing you to see your child. Because directly after birth you have to do bonding with child. So Keen was supposed to bond with the child whilst you are still drugged. But after the medication is gone you can touch her it will be safe. Catheter is not an enough reason not to allow you to be with your child. You will be in bed anyway …..

I don't know what healthcare best practice that is. You were supposed to at least get skin to skin with your baby even if you had a c/s. If you've come out of surgery then you are sanitary. Oh my it's so unfair. 30 hours🥺

I get that...my argument was that generally depending on your baby's health, you might be able to hold your little one even if the baby is on a ventilator or has an IV. However, momma was told by these healthcare providers that she was "unsanitary".....that's where my argument is because some NICU babies still get skin-to-skin with their moms to help create that initial bond. The best practice in healthcare encourages nurses or doctors to word that better.
@ethos289
@ethos289 4 ай бұрын
@@Dimples19 you are correct. Maybe she is used to poor standards and nomatter how you explain it, she will not get it. 30 hours without seeing baby is the worst standard. Legally, the hospital could actually be sued for that because it’s unacceptable practice. But I guess in Zim they get away with a lot.
