After years of teasing and frustration from Paninah Khanah is driven to the Mishkan at Shiloh to pray. But she doest just pray, she sets the standard for prayer!
Most English translations say she prayed "to" haShem ("shem" means name is Hebrew, it representscthe four-letter name of God, YHWH) but in Hebrew it says she prayed "above" haShem! 🤔
Khanah's prayer was so heart-felt and sincere that it was heard far above the manifestation of God's will, His "throne" in the Heavens, and touched the very heart of God. You'll have to read ahead or watch Navi #3 to see where the story goes.
But we should pause and think here, HOW did Khanah's prayer reach so high? We might consider Peninah's part in that. Her constant teasing pushed Khanah to pray, so think about that when you someonevis bringing pain to your life. It may be that God has plans for good, plans to use this troble to push you to your best.
Pray believing! Prayer is not some majic formula, it's a request to God, and should be made believing that He hears. Thats not as easy as it sounds, because our faith is often weak. But don't give up, He may be patiently pushing your faith to grow!
Example, the high priest Eli sees Khanah pray, lips moving but no sound, and he assumes the worst, accuses her of drunkeness in that holy place. She explains things though and Eli says he will also pray, and that God will surely hear.
I can hardly wait to tell you more! 🤠👍
