You and your organization are doing such important work. Thank you for helping others avoid the trauma you went through. You have amazing patience and strength in doing this work. I look forward to conversion “therapy” being outlawed across the nation!! GO GO GO!

Thank you very much for being so involved for other people ! I'm french and I can give here a precision : the proposition of law in order to forbide conversion therapy has been brought to our parliament in june 2020 and should have been discussed and voted (with yes or no) in september. But due to the COVID... It should now come in question about february 2021 (but I don't dare to prognose anything assured with this pandemic !)

I can identify with this story on so many levels. Fortunately, I had to go through this type of therapy and it’s made me a stronger, better person today. I thank GOD for conversion therapy because it solidified that I am gay and it’s okay. I live in Hawaii and I’m so grateful our state outlawed this kind of abuse and treatment here. Mahalo Matthew !! 🤙🏽 Aloha from Hawaii 🤙🏽

I went through 13 years of reparative therapy including electronic shock therapy done by a psychiatrist who was President of the Baptist Church at that time. Since then I learned that the entire medical profession declassified homosexuality as an illness 50 years ago this year 2023, which included the whole 13 years I went through therapy and the shock therapy. Not happy. I was married to my accepting wife for 51 years and she had MS for 26 years. I cared for her for almost all that time. She was unable to ambulate (stand or walk) the last 15 years. She has now passed in 2022 and I am now free to be the gay man I was born to be. I have a son and a daughter and 4 grandsons. I was a Baptist Minister and missionary but I was told I was not welcome to even attend the church just because I am gay. But I'm not looking for a husband. Too old now.

These stories are so sad and so common. Cheers to you for trying to get the pseudo therapy outlawed! Highest hopes for success. Tell me about Hawaii! I live here now. I could share so many stories. Very Democratic state but oddly conservative. Hawaii accepts gay people as long as the gay person is not in their family.

Good for me that none of my blood family are ethnically Hawaiian nor Hawaiian born. They are all US born, and a mix of ethnic European and Mexican and New Mexican Indigenous.
