Just as I was throwing in the towel, I asked a family friend if she would want to go with me, and she said yes. Honestly, its bound to happen if you don't know the person you're "proposing" to well enough. The 2nd girl did the right thing - she didnt want to go and neither did she wanna embarass him too much so she dm'ed him later. It really wasn't her fault, she didn't want to say no to him in front of everyone... *Let this be a lesson to many of you* , if you don't want to be rejected in front of the whole school and make it awkward between you and the person: at least get to know the person first and see if they like you!
