Interesting that they all sang "Happy Birthday to You" at the beginning, because at this time, and for decades afterwards, this song was claimed to have an active copyright so that any public performance of it was supposed to only be done with permission, and with the payment of a fee. In recent years it was finally revealed that the song had NEVER been copyrighted when it was first published in 1897 and that Warner Bros. had been collecting fees and threatening people for years without any legal basis.

Other commentators have mentioned how Disney got rid of everyone when the MMC ended with the exception of Annette Funicello . There were several who continued in show biz in a less prominent role like Burgess . Holdridge ,Baird , etc . even those who were not " stars " on MMC like Crawford , Grady , Peterson . Though Annette was the biggest historical name , she was eventually in the past . Shirley Temple who many consider the biggest child star played supporting roles for twenty years after her heyday . Many youth stars are flash's in the pan .

I never understood how Mickey Mouse had a friend that was a talking dog that walked on two legs, and Mickey also owned a pet dog that did not talk, and walked on four legs. Seems to me, that made Mickey some kind of slave owner. Also, the idea of a mouse having a pet dog is mind bending. I assume all the Disney cartoon characters wore white gloves to get over the fact that animals do not have hands.

No you're not I can't stand Lynn Ready, Linda Hughes, or Bonnie Lynn Fields. Don Agrati, I don't mind because he's actually not such a bad guy and he went on to become a huge star unlike the other third season replacements who just fell off the face of the earth after The MMC ended
@chrisbanner1837 жыл бұрын
I would take Bonnie Fields over Don [ Grady ] Agrati anytime. She was a terrific dancer and had a very good singing voice but alas like Darlene never fulfilled her potential as an adult.

Chris Banner with the exception of Annette (who was Walt Disney's favorite) none of these Mousketeers really became the big celebrities they should've been. Walt Disney kinda just threw them out on the streets after The MMC ended in 1959. But he kept Annette and used her for many films. It shows he had favoritism at the time
