Thanks for the video guys! I liked your questions Opal as they brought up topics I hadn’t really heard discussed before and I found the answers both insightful and thought provoking. I picked up quite a few key takeaways, particularly during the section on weaving story throughout the adventures and it was definitely worth the time to watch! Thanks again! 👍🏻

I opened this vid expecting to see the same ol' faces you see in every d&d vid and was very pleasantly surprised to find that of these dms I only know Fred (How to D&D) and his glorious hat. Really cool of you to introduce some new faces!

I'm glad to hear that! There are plenty of good people on the platform. I hope you'll consider subscribing to each of them. And Fred's hat is immortal. Flutes was on a recent round table with Fred that might've cracked the case as to why Fred wears the hat beyond mere hair loss, haha.

@@FlutesLoot Now that I've watched the video I just wanna say I got some great ideas for my own dming (although I don't have a group at the moment). Much obliged, Opal & co.

I like to try to create what Tolkien called "secondary reality" in my games, especially as a DM but also as a player. Thanks for the thoughts and stories from everyone there. It was a fun talk, and I appreciate the time and effort put into making these videos.

You're welcome! And "secondary reality" sounds like it is at the heart of D&D.

@Flutes Loot it's from his essay "On Faerie Stories." It's a great read. One if my favorite quotes is, "Fantasy remains a human right, and we make according to our measure and in our derivative mode. For we are made, and made in the image and likeness of a Maker."
