I think the purple also signifies the mixing of the red of Sebastian and the blue of Mia, and their togetherness

I guess was the other way, Sebastian Blue, and Mia Red. But I’m agree with you about the purple as the result of their mixing colors.

really loved the video, but when talking about the importance of green during the "city of stars" scene, i truly believe that what mia is experiencing isn't jealousy or envy ; green definitely doesn't represent a pleasant feeling but i don't think that she gets jealous of his career at any point. maybe it's that she sees giving up on his dreams by pursuing a life that she knows isn't the one he wanted to pursue in the first place. i think that the feeling of bitterness green could represent, comes from mia realizing that he's slowly loosing himself and that she's loosing him too even though they deeply love each other

I definitely don’t think Mia was jealous in the green scenes, she doesn’t want him in the band because she knows he doesn’t enjoy it

@@SightUnsound No prob, it's nice to find a channel that knows what cinema is rather than just saying "I like this, didn't like that, don't see it." I want to do these types of videos myself but don't quite have the resources or knowledge. Do you go to film school? Or read any certain books?

@@isaiahwilliams2642 I lecture on a film programme in London (Regent's University) and make films when I can... The best advice I can give is to watch EVERYTHING you can and read reviews and opinion pieces after you've finished from publications like Sight&Sound... The best intro text book I've read in a while is Voice & Vision by Mick Hubris-Cherrier though it is a little pricey... (try and loan it from a library)... what sort of area are you specifically interested in and I can see if I can find some good directions to point you in?

@@SightUnsound I'm actually interested in all of the above in a sense. I feel like I should at least know the basics to everything before trying anything serious. I definitely want to perfect writing at the very least. For that I've read "How to Build a Great Screenplay" by David Howard, and "Writing in Pictures: Screenwriting made mostly painless" by Joeseph McBride, the latter of which I feel was more worthwhile. Right now I am developing an interest in cinematography and directing as well. I've never taken a photography class of any kind, and am only starting to experiment with what my phone camera can do. I certainly will check out "Voice & Vision" as soon as I can, thanks for the recommendation. I have been thinking about what filmmaking schools to consider once I'm ready, and thanks to you, now London is a consideration.
