I worked at a our local bookstore and a really cute guy walked in while I wrote how many pencils there were. First he just looked at me like I was an alien but then he walked towards me and said "can you help me?" and I said sure so he wanted to find this perticular book but when he found it he wanted something else and then one more and so on. Eventually he asked me about my favorite book. I told him some that I liked but said I didn't have a favorite book. HE BROUGHT ON OF THEM TO ME AND SAID; Thanks for all the help beautiful, but can you do one more thing? I was blushing but said yes, and he asked for my number. we've beem together for two months now!😂

This month I purchased a first edition/first printing copy signed by Philippa Gregory of The White Queen and The Kingmaker's Daughter. I also purchased the paperback TV tie in editions of The White Queen, The White Princess, and The Lady of the Rivers. I just got a signed copy of the Outlander Cookbook, and then I also purchased Virgins and A Leaf on the Wind of All Hallows, both by Gabaldon on my Kindle. And finally, the last book I bought I think will be right up your alley. It's called The Secret (Highlands' Lairds Book 1) by Julie Garwoods. Audible recommended it to me so I bought it on Amazon in paperback. Here's a description of it below: Judith Hampton was as beautiful as she was proud and loyal. Her dear Scottish friend from childhood was about to give birth, and Judith had promised to be at her side. But there was another, private reason for the journey from her bleak English home to the Highlands: to meet the father she had never known, the Laird Maclean. Nothing prepared her, however, for the sight of the Scottish barbarian who was to escort her into his land...Iain Maitland, Laird of his clan, a man more powerfully compelling than any she had ever encountered. In a spirited clash of wills and customs, Judith reveled in the melting bliss of Iain's searching kisses, his passionate caresses. Perplexed by her sprightly defiance, bemused by her tender nature, Iain felt his soul growing into the light and warmth of her love. Surely nothing would wrench her from the affection and trust of Iain and his clan...not even the truth about her father, a devastating secret that could shatter the boldest alliance, and the most glorious of loves!

I work at Barnes & Noble and one time a lady started screaming at me. I was cashiering that night and asked if she had a membership with she replied with "No. I would never get a membership here because everyone who works here is racist." I have learned from working there for a while not to push customers too far or ask questions because some of them get very angry. I finished up the transaction and told her to have a good day when she asked if I could look up if she had a membership. Phone number or email I know the drill so when neither came up she told me to look it up that she knew she had one. My manager was on her lunch break and so one of my coworkers had to come up and help me get the situation under control. When we couldn't find anything she started throwing racial slurs at me and calling me a b****. She went after my weight and left me on the edge of tears. Mall security was called and it was a huge thing to get her out of the store. Books were being thrown and a bookcase was dropped to the floor. It made clean up so hard for us that night. One of the worse experiences working there.
