I've actually had to cut a close friend off quick. It wasn't an easy decision for me, but she was a toxic liar. I stood by her when no other friend of mine liked her (and as a result, I lost most of those other friends). When I needed her the most she was unreachable and never there. Last straw was when I had nowhere to go for Christmas and she said I could spend it with her. When I tried contacting her several times to confirm my going (I bought presents and everything), she never answered her phone. I called her, her mom, and her home phone. No answer. Not even after. So I just said to myself I didn't need someone in my life like that. What's more is that I'm sure she's playing the victim saying I did something to her. She is the type of girl who only thinks of herself and what she can get out of a relationship. Don't be afraid to cut people off. There are too many fakes in this world.

That's not true at all. A person can have a change of heart due to something that happens. It doesn't mean she was never Niki's friend. Just that maybe her love was more conditional than Nikis. Think of your closest friend. There is definately something they could do that would change the way you feel about them, and vice versa. Plus people have all kinds of mental issues and past experiences that are factoring in when they overreact. Maybe she had a fear of abandonment. Maybe when Niki left she cried for days and had to work really hard to make herself not miss her or need her or care anymore. So when Niki came back, it threatened this wall she'd spent a lot of time and energy putting up, and that was there for her when her friend no longer was. Regardless Niki was the better friend for trying to reconcile

Everybody's human and sometimes we have to do what we feel is right for ourselves. Its wrong from our point of view, but for alicia she did what she had to do to be ok. And who knows maybe she regrets her decision, but maybe that's what needed to happen for alicia to grow as well. And besides she was going through stuff too and her own feelings it's hard to be supportive when you feel like you're falling. Sometimes you have to be selfish to keep going. Sorry for giving a lecture I just like to try and see where people are coming from and how they might be feeling about something. THAT was the closure you needed. The way she didn’t even want to hear your side of the situation with Damien, the way she easily cut you off, the way even years later when you make the effort to go all the way to her grandmother’s home to speak with her and AGAIN she shuns you.. is the answer right there that you needed all along. She clearly doesn’t have love for you, and sorry to say.. probably never really did. She probably wanted to cut you off long ago and didn’t know how, so decided to use that situation as her way out of the friendship. She forgave TRIFLING ass Damien, but couldn’t forgive you.. When Nikki didn’t even force Alisha to choose between Damien and her (Nikki) about who was telling the truth or not, to break up with Damien since he’s lying blah blah blah. Basically Nikki gave Alisha time to think about the situation when ALISHA DIDN’T even let Nikki think about the situation that happened at Robert’s funky-a$$ house. I'm about to rant so pardon me😂 Nikki, you did not lose Alicia, she lost you. Periodtt. I personally have 0 tolerance for ultimatums - no lie, I will walk out that door, be very careful - cuz they're manipulative & in her case, unnecessary, she should have given you the same courtesy & let you explain everything from beginning to end, hers was a decision of emotional ignorance (the thing with Damien & so forth with Roberts funky ass). Two, she brought up the thing with Ariel (& Aaron), in addition to Robert, & the little instances in between, it looked like she was ticking off the many strikes she had to put up with & made it out to seem like you were a burden to be friends with. You. Can. Not. Control. What. Other. People. Decide. To. Do. None of those reasons were genuinely YOUR fault & she was not the only one dealing with them, you were too, first hand, & it was not any easier. Maybe all those reasons to not be friends with you built up until she couldn't take it, maybe it had been a long time coming, maybe it was bound to happen in some way or another, all I'm saying is, you dodged a bullet, YOU are not a burden. You are not hard to love. And no one should make you feel that way. I doubt she will ever meet someone as loyal as you, cuz you stuck around even after she tossed you like everything you had gone through together meant nothing. Three, you couldn't have foresaw what was gonna happen with Roberts funky ass, regardless if he was worth it & the fact that your mom disliked him, aside, a bestfriend is not supposed to dictate what you can't or can do, they're just supposed to be there for you, giving you support even if you're wrong - like you did with Damien. She kept throwing Robert (-s funky ass) in your face on multiple occasions when you had only mentioned disliking Damien ONCE out of respect for her & her relationship for that no-good-having-ass excuse of a boyfriend, & she really tested you too when she confessed a year later that she was aware of him sleeping with other girls & you didn't wanna say nothing cuz you had already said what you said. Four, with what happened with Roberts funky ass, yes yes, he was not worth it, I agree, but ultimately he was a learning experience, he helped show you what to do & what not to do in a relationship, what you're willing & not willing to put up with & what red flags to look for with the next one who comes along. Everything happens for a reason. You broke her heart? Shit, she broke YOUR heart too, & she did it so BOLDLY. Thanks for coming to my ted talk😂 I dont have nothing else to say, so y'all have good life now ♡♡♡ Edit: She said she was protecting you from Damien, but it seemed like she was only protecting herself. I’m not gonna lie...as a 34 year old woman, I wish I could have had the “gift of goodbye” as a teenager. I certainly have it now, but trust and believe it took a _lot_ to get me here. *However* , the fact that Alicia was so easily able to shut down relationships with people she loved at such a young age really makes me feel sad for her. I don’t know anything about her aside from what you’ve told us in your videos, but I personally feel like she went through some shit during her childhood that forced her to grow up at a young age. I’ve known and loved (and lost) many people like Alicia, and that’s the one thing they all had in common. Most teenagers don’t/can’t guard their emotional well-being as fiercely as she did, and that’s because they haven’t experienced the amount of heartbreak required to build the proverbial wall around their heart. People like that tend to hurt other people before other people can hurt them. While I have no doubt she cared for you, it’s clear you valued your friendship a lot more than she did. Thank you for telling us your story. I can see how painful it still is for you, but there are many young girls watching your videos that will learn something from this.

If the fact that her mother doesn't seem to be in her life, whether by choice or not, isn't a sign of some type of trauma, I don't know what is. Maybe she has abandonment issues? Or maybe she's had people die and doesn't like to get too deeply involved with people in the fear that they will leave or die? Or maybe she's the child of divorced parents and has issues stemming from it. Either way, it's clear to me that she has some problems that she really needs to look within herself to fix. She seems to treat people like objects. Once she's done, she'll throw you out and not even think twice about it. That's a sad way to live.

Exactly. Like, the fight was about 1) “how they each handled the other not liking her bf” (says Alicia after the fact), and 2) each bf doing something and how that something was handled. I hope at this point that 'Alicia' has learned and grown in her life. That she's opened her eyes and is healthy, happy, and successful. That she's realized if she want's someone to consider her feelings that she has to actually share them, and that she can't control what people do. She seriously said she didn't trust Nikki. For what? Nikki never broke her trust in the first place. Nikki never dragged her into a situation without her consent. She never told anyone else Alicia's business. Demanding someone do whatever you want instead of respecting their decisions the way they respected yours isn't a good way to handle relationships. We all make mistakes and sometimes things just aren't working, but it's up to each of us to speak up about it and compromise. She couldn't do that, but you never know. People do change sometimes.

WARNING: LONG MESSAGE HERE, lol In my personal opinion, Alisha(or anyway you wanna spell it) was quite selfish in this situation. Though, I do, in a way, get where she was coming from; the fact that you chose Robert(‘s funky a*s) over her really upset her. But let’s be honest here, people. If she didn’t like Robert, why didn’t she say anything? She just dealt with it and when the whole house party situation happened she finally snapped. Alisha is a perfect example of what can happen when you bottle up your emotions. Bad things can happen, and words can be said and wounds will be there. Now onto the situation with the comparison between Damien and Robert. I feel she should’ve listened to _both_ sides of the story rather than just listening to Damien’s side and then making her decision. Now, again, I get Alisha’s point of view; at this point in her life she did have very large, unexpected feelings for him. He seemed like the perfect guy for her. But when he did that disrespectful, disgusting thing to you(if you don’t know, Damien confessed that if he wasn’t talking to Alisha, he would talk to Nikki, and said that she had “sex hair” and got on his feel on when he randomly, unexpectedly hugged her), you made the *decision* to let Alisha know, because you wanted he to know your opinion. That is exactly what Alisha should’ve done in those other situations where she had to be near Robert. Now, I’m not saying they Alisha’s in the wrong, because she’s not, I’m not gonna put the blame on her. But, she was selfish, she did not have to give such a definitive answer to a fight like that. But, again, words were said that led to such an awful event. But on the bright side, Nikki’s found a loving, new best friend who is caring towards her and her family, unlike Heather(‘s funky a*s). If you’re reading this Nikki, I want you to know that I love you so much and you’re one of the best Storytime KZbinrs(highkey all KZbinrs in general) I’ve ever seen. Stan Nikki Glamour, y’all. Just wanted to say, Nikki, you really should stop beating yourself over how this ended, because there's absolutely nothing more you could've done to change Alicia's mind. Your last conversation revealed that there were other deep rooted issues that bothered her - - it wasn't just your relationship with Robert. At the end of the day, there's really no reason to keep a friendship if one person carries this much animosity toward the other. It would've ended one way or another. I'm glad you're still remembering your friendship in a positive light in storytimes though. Moving forward and focusing on the good is what's important. I watched this a few years ago when you put this out and for some reason something just told me to go back and rewatch this. My heart breaks when I listen to this. It makes me sad for you that you literally went looking for your best friend and when you found her she was just cold hearted towards you.
