This was actually not easy to talk about as it’s so personal and my anxiety is always ar tge peak while talking about such things.
I’m also scared I will get so many backlash with people who hasn’t experienced such things or don’t generally believe in sexual harassment but sexual harassment is very common this days especially among locals to foreigners in any country.
Turkey and istanbul is not the only country where sexually harassing women or foreigners happen, it happens everywhere so let’s all be careful when we move to other country.

Thank you so much for talking about this! I don't live in Istanbul but I'm staying here with family and I know exactly what you're talking about. I was on the bus today and because of how crowded it was, I had to stand up. There was a man standing behind me who I originally thought was so close because of how crowded it was but then I felt him touching me in my private areas. He wouldn't move away no matter how much I shoved him. Since I don't speak the language, I didn't know what to do and just felt like I had to endure it until I got to my stop. I have never experienced something like this before but have heard stories about it happening to other women in my life. Again, thanks so much for talking about it so openly, I'm sure I'm not the only one who appreciates it.
