STORYTIME: I was stuck in a tornado!?

I live near Davenport, Iowa in Milan, IL. About 3 week’s ago from today we had what was called a “ Derecho.” Which is a very serious series of thunderstorm’s. Power knocked out for over a full week in Iowa because of bent and fallen power lines and full length trees fallen in roads. Mostly all of Illinois had power off for the longest. It was quote on quote absolute hell. I’m just so glad that your safe! And, even though this was a long while ago I hope your doing well.

I almost drove right into a tornado in 1993. It was the Mothers day tornado in Wylie TX. I was about to leave to go pick up some fast food to eat but remembered I had some left over pizza in the refrigerator. Not even ten minutes later the downtown city was hit really hard. Luckily I remembered I had leftover pizza.

Same!! I live I the metro too and 15 mins from Moore 25 from Tri City area. I've been seeing these things since I was a kid. I was right in the middle of May 3rd 99 tornadoes. My daughters were on the may 23rd 2013 tornadoes. That scared me to the bone !

I mean I kinda am too. When I was in elementary school I slept through a tornado, but there wasn’t much damage to the house I was in. There was a little though. I found out about it when I woke up and I freaked out because I wasn’t with my parents and my brother I was with my aunt. I didn’t think there was much damage to any of the buildings and house near us. As it turns out the school near me was no longer standing, and a gas station had its roof torn off

I have had the same experience but I was at camp. I was riding a horse and the tornado warning went off. I had my phone, so I told my family goodbye and I love them. Then the tornado passed and all our stuff was gone. The campers survived and I survived. I called my family,told them I was okay,and they came and got me around 3 hours later.

Bro it's so easy to survive a tornado all you do is go In the basemen if you don't have one go I the closet in the hall and grab blankets so if something hits you it won't hurt as bad to be honest tho they are kinda scary but cool

my first tornado one day i was watching the news the weather said two tornados has been spoted 50 miles from use then a storm alert poped up it said a sever thunder warning has been issued for are area then it started then after 15 mins the tornado siren went off are nebhiors tree fell down on are house then i saw a funnel cloud i ran to the closet

I guess you could say your phone did “die” but maybe it’s not but it could :/ idk here’s ONE trick if you’ve never heard of it before press the home button and the off/on button at the same time for 60 seconds and it should turn on. It works for me.

I was in a tornado warning because there was swirling in a storm like 30 minutes away so I got the thing on my phone and I was on panic mode my parents where outside so I texted my dad saying there is a tornado warning plz come inside so my dad said it's ok don't freak out and I freaked out lol and my mom came in saying it's ok calm done ok so I said ok and calmed down then she went outside and I was looking out the window and saw a funnel cloud go over us and go to the mountains and my aunt texted my dad saying we're she was and she was at her apartment she said come to my apartment I can se a little bit of blue in the sky so we went to KFC and when we got home and started eating the tornado warning was done so that's my tornado story
