You're so right Steven. Every furbaby that allows us to share their life with them all teach us soul awareness life lessons that we were unaware of before. Clare in her gentle way showed you to enjoy every moment with her and you did. You showed her love and she returned her's to you so sweetly. She will forever be with you 🐾💔

I certainly remember what you went through with that veterinary center! I almost called them to let them know how insensitive they were with you and Clare. I had a cat, Maynard (named after Maynard Ferguson) for 18 years. I held him when it was his time. It’s the most sacrificial thing you can do for them.❤

What a lucky cat to have found you! Clare was just gorgeous, too. Years ago, in the middle of a snowy Ohio winter, I found an emaciated Siamese with a broken hind leg that would not bend (it had been broken long ago and not set, I think). The tips of her ears were missing from frostbite. She was the most grateful and loving cat. I almost couldn’t watch your tribute to Clare’s life, as I lost two dogs this Spring. You are very brave to be able to share thoughts about your wonderful Clare this way. Thank you!

Aww sweet little Clare. I miss her. I always got such a kick watching her sit on her perch slightly moving her tail. And that clip of her swishing you in the face was the best. Always one of my favorites of Clare. She definitely had a good home and was very loved. Hoagie’s anniversary is come up December 26th. It will be two years. So hard to let them go but so many good memories. 💕

Cry-Laugh-Cry-Laugh... you have me all messed up over here. I am a true animal lover. I have lots of thoughts on this video... ...If you ever have a long layover in LA, there is a place called the Gentle Barn maybe 30 miles North of LAX. It's all rescue animals that you can pet, feed, hug, and love on. You have to make reservations though. This place will warm your heart... ...When I was about 12 years old I lived in a large apartment building with my mom. One day I found an injured cat outside. I wanted to take the cat in and care for her. My mom said no, it was a no pet building. I built a shelter under a thick bush and begged my mom to buy some cat food which she did. I nursed that cat back to health for weeks. I remember one day the cat was gone. I'd like to think she got better and moved on and not that the building maintenance people got rid of her shelter... ...Your story about letting Clare go really resonated with me. I had to put my beloved black lab, Princess, down. The vet was very gentle with me when that time came and it was handled exactly as you described with Clare. This vet even mailed a sympathy card to me. Princess' ashes and my feelings were handled way better than you described when you picked up Clare. I am so very sorry your feelings weren't taken into consideration.... ... From the way you described her condition to how she looked in most of those pictures, it is obvious you took excellent care of her and she knew she was SAFE and she knew she was LOVED.

Steven, I just watched your beautiful video about Clare and I started to tear up because I too am a cat person. I've had cats all my life and I'm up there in age. I've cried so much when having to put them to sleep. Clare was so beautiful. So sorry she couldn't stay with you longer. I have all my babies in an urn on the fireplace and I say hello when I walk by.

Hi Steven, first I wanted to say I love your daily videos. It really is like I am just touching base with a dear friend. I actually do talk to you and feel all the feelings I would as if we were together IRL. It’s been awhile since I have posted but I haven’t missed a video. I just had to post because I love the cats and I cried when you lost Clare. I was tearing up watching this. I will be in Vegas Thursday-Sunday so I hope to maybe see you out and about. Hi Steven, I haven’t talked to you in a while, but I want you to know that I haven’t missed one of your videos. I could watch you every day. You are my favorite person to watch on KZbin, so if you post a video daily, I would love it! Well, I cried through most of the video, especially the pictures of Clare. She was a gorgeous cat. At the beginning of the video, you talk about losing most people in your life. I lost my mother a couple of months ago, and my heart is broken. 💔 It's hard for me to imagine life without her. We were so very close. I have taken the last couple of months off from flying and will probably take the rest of the year off. As flight attendants, we really have to be on top of our game, and I am just not there yet. Thank you for sharing, and I am looking forward to vlogmas. 💛🖤 ✈️ 💛❤️💙

Sweet tribute to Clare! She was a beautiful cat! Her blue eyes were so beautiful! You saved them for her! I had a 19 year old cat that died last year and his wife that was 18 died the year before. His wife was the sweetest cat I ever had and he was the weirdest cat I ever had! lol My sister had a cat that could've been Clare's twin. He was a boy named Eric after Prince Eric in the Little Mermaid. We called him Daddy Cat too. So funny Clare taking a bite out of Buddy and hitting you in the face with her tail! I had to laugh when you said "I was not going to have 3 cats"! You were such a hero to your sweet fur babies! They are so lucky to have you Steven!

Beautiful tribute, Steven. Made me cry. I had dogs my entire life until 3 yrs ago. I swore I was NOT a cat person and could never love a cat. Well, after my dog died, I gave it some time, but knew my lifestyle/work was not great for a dog. But a cat, that would be possible. Well, I went to the shelter, saw my baby, and fell in love immediately. I have become an absolutely insane cat mama. I love her more than anything! Cats are amazing! And I am allergic. Oh well! I get allergy shots and take antihistamines. She is my baby and it's just what I have to do. :)

I'm so sorry for your loss. Our animals become part of our family, just like any other member. Our love for them is enormous, therefore making their passing just as big. In this past year, I've lost my father to the beast covid and my little Khole. She was a bichon/yorkie mix. I loved her to the depths of my soul. I still think I hear her upon awakening in the mornings. She and my father were my best buddies. I so can feel your pain.💔 I've cried myself silly over them both. Your heartbreak makes me cry with you.😢Thank you for sharing this wonderful tribute to beautiful Clare. I know it had to be heart wrenching to make, but hopefully therapeutic too. Steven I know how you feel. I might might not have lost a cat but I have lost 2 dogs... I had to have them put to sleep because they were very sick. That really is the hardest thing I have ever had to do. Watching this video just made my heart hurt. It seems like just Yesterday that happened. I'm so sorry and may Clara rest in peace.
