Wow I applaud how open you were. Geez some of your subscribers were hard on you about this. I thought you were spot on. The pain sounded like a uterine biopsy was also done. Normal pap smears don't give you much in the way of cramps but as soon as they go deeper and force the cervix to open up a drop it hurts like heck. I was an Ob Gyn RN for many years. While I would say this video is very TMI, I seriously respect you for doing it. I have only been a subscriber for about a week and so far I am pretty impressed.

Yeah... I don't know if you meant Saskatoon but my doctor referred me to psych because I had a bit of a psychotic break and tried to kill myself and it took them EIGHT hours to do anything and they were seriously just going to send me home even though it kept happening for a long time
@thequazify9 жыл бұрын
How many weeks were you? I used to work in women's health and unfortunately if it's early on they don't do a whole lot because they assume it's a miscarriage and they can't stop it. The do however rush you up to L&D if you're more than 20 weeks I think. I know how you feel, when I was 6 weeks along I sat in the ER for 5 hours it was awful
@xSevenDevilsx9 жыл бұрын
+Marie Koehn Nothing to do with pregnancy but doctors really do suck here in Saskatoon tbh. My brother had a pain in his side for almost a week and it kept getting worse. He went to 3 doctors and they all sent him home and told him to take a tylenol for the pain, one even told him it was just a stomach ache. We were finally fed up and decided to take him to the hospital and turns out he had appendicitis.

I never said it wasn't important. I agree that it is. But it's definitely not the first thing you think of when you start having sex. I think there needs to be more awareness of going because I didn't know about Pap smears until about 2 years ago.
@jenforsberg74419 жыл бұрын
+Christie M Yes. You should absolutely get a Pap smear every year. Once you get your period and go to the obgyn, your obgyn should tell you to get a Pap smear every year, or every 2 years. Whether you've had issues or not, you should get one. That's coming from a dr.

My first experience on birth control was trying to regulate the monthly visitor (when I was 14) and it was the pill. It ended up causing me to have a period for four months straight, no slowing down, no spotting, and I was going through a pack of tampons and a pack of pads within 24 hours. The doctor I was seeing then wasn't able to get me in for over a month, so I just went to the ER and they had me stop the pill.

So basically the crazy specialist you keep referring to was a gynecologist? Have you never been to one before? I mean I live in Canada too and I have been to one prior to getting pregnant too. You were in that much incredible discomfort and pain from a vaginal exam and Pap smear?? Not to be rude, but you must have low pain tolerance lol, for reference I've had a miscarriage at 6 weeks and have a 10 month old now, the amount of exams I've had done/ultrasounds/c section ect...and they were uncomfortable but not as dramatically life altering painful and debilitating as it seemed to be for you. Glad to hear you're okay

That's awesome that you finally got checked out and everything's OK and that you're feeling better hopefully this doesn't happen again I know I have interstitial cystitis which is also called ic which is holes in my bladder it looks like someone took a shovel and dug holes all over my bladder it's very painful and no one knows what causes it and I gets flare up proble every couple years but when it does flare up it last up to 9 months which is very painful and I get depressed because I can barely walk and I have to stay in the fetal position or I'm in a lot of discomfort and excushating pain. I'm on a lot of medication right now because It started about 3 weeks ago I have the pains and feeling like I have to pee all the time it feels like a severe bladder infection but 100 times worse. So I know how scary it was for you and I'm so glade you are felling better.

I have a similar situation. I had to go to the emergency room for a gallbladder attack. Got a referral to a surgeon. Went.he comes in, not saying anything, don't look at my chart,nothing. Says,oh,you're having surgery on the 17th. Not paperwork. My husband called multiple times every day. Not answer.no reply to texts. Voicemail. Email. Phone calls. Finally get someone. Rude as hell. So now,everything is on hold.

this happened to me too Sam! I have an IUD the gyno told me that any rustling down there while on birth control especially an IUD could knock some blood loose that is in there
