Heii girl, I can relate to this. I remember starving for a whole week at my boyfriend's house while home was literally 15mins away. Mara because I loved him and didn't wanna seem like I was with him for the money he claimed to have at the beginning of our relationship, since it started off with moguy taking me out every weekend, shopping, hey you name it. And it literally ended with me buying all the groceries, cooking, working a 9-5 and worst of all he still wanted to do tlof tlof. Aii one day I woke up soo hungry and fed up. He had gone out to see his friends, I packed all my stuff and left. I sent him a text telling him that I had left his key with the security. And that was the last time I heard from him. Yho imagine after suffering with him for so long, he can't even text or call me. Anyways that's the day learn about the importance of self love and not tolering bullshit.

It was funny until she said that she drank water in order to feel better, my man and I have starved together but he really had nothing. Now that he has more he is always sending me money but he doesnt prioritise his friends over me. I have only had two boyfriends in my adult life, because I have standards. It's not about money,, it's about effort.

Ahh that's really awesome, I'm so glad things are looking up now. I would've preferred if my ex was actually honest about his financial situation instead of selling me a dream and lying about having a job only to let me starve. I'd definitely starve with an honest and ambitious man. Not a liar. But yeah I'm grateful for the experience, now I know what I can and can't tolerate.

I used to give an ex my father’s money 🤡. He had a great job with benefits and all but he resigned so that so that he can get his money’s to focus on his hustle 🤦🏾 against my advice of “use your 9-5 to fund your hustle”. Months pass jiki-jiki nangu umuntu is complaining about petrol and not having data, mina ke as a women who builds her man I used to send him most of my allowance from home and be left with R500 for the month so that my man’s can continue getting his hustle going. I don’t know how the though came into my mind maybe it was the revelations from fasting I mean hunger 😅. I remembered how when he was working he would never help me when I’m struggling financially, he would never give me money but borrowed me I always paid him back. Kodwa at least he used to pay for our dates (the food and drinks, transport not included) and that’s it. Yoh I used to believe so hard in 50/50 that it took me sometime before breaking up with him because the thought of breaking up just because of money made me feel cheap so I get you.

But I feel as though some of these guys are so good at manipulating and brainwashing us into supporting them. And also the pedestal that society puts on being in a relationship or else you're unlovable horrible, really needs to stop cause wow we end up getting into such toxic relationships because of it.
