Dr Lin, question can a enlarge prostate cause urine to flow backwards, back up to kidneys, and cause some pain on your sides ? I had a bladder test yesterday and they seen that I have urine getting pushed backwards to kidneys. Now next test is a cystoscope. And then an ultrasound of my prostate. I'm hoping and praying that I fall into the gram size, and size of prostate to do urolift. I rather have that then turp.

@@nickpanhead7209 Yes. Severely obstructing prostate can cause urinary retention leading to urine backing up into the ureters and harming the kidneys. If that's what's happening to you, you should talk to your urologist and have your bladder drained ASAP.

@@JCLinMD Thanks Dr Lin, I really appreciate you getting back to me as a Doctor who don't even know me. I love all your videos of all the great out comes of your patience. I'm urinating, I'm not blocked up from going it's just slow, and as I'm urinating I get a pain on my right side flank. I'm thinking it's my prostate, because I had a procedure done a while back and had a catheter in me, at that time I had no pain on my right side with catheter in me. I have a phone call into my urologist today he should get back to me. Thanks again for taking your time out of your busy day to answer some one you don't know. Your the best.
