Absolutely agree and people dont understand that making firearms hard to obtain doesnt make it hard to obtain for people who dont abide by gun laws anyways, in the bad parts of my city you can by a stolen cz-75 for 50 dollars believe it or not. People who dont abide by laws or have mental issues will accomplish whatever they intend to do with whatever they can do it with. Like what Brandon Hurerra said "we are lucky criminals are using firearms, because if they couldn't it would be bombs." Uneducated people spew opinions based on things they should hold in.

The only real "reason" he has to show is a printed copy of the Bill of Rights of the U.S. Constitution with the Second Amendment pointed out. The liberals with their double standards somehow can't see themselves as the hypocrites most of them are. You can bet any political figure has no problem paying someone WHO HAS A FIREARM to protect them from the "bad guys", but somehow the regular people are not deserving of that same consideration. And, since most regular people cannot afford to pay a private security firm to protect their family, they try to do so themselves, by legally owning a weapon.

jiveturkeh Mass shooters have mental issues. They have had traumatic experiences, and that is what drives them to do what they do, or they want the attention that is given to them after the act. Most people just want guns to protect themselves and their family, and a gun is the most effective way at doing it. Most people that want guns are law abiding citizens and will not use their guns without provocation. There are just a small fraction of people that will use their guns to cause harm. Associating law abiding citizens to criminals is not right.

Then it has to work it's way through from City courts and up until hits Supreme court if doesn't get resolved in State levels. It's pretty big process to do all this in legal sense and takes people to stop just sittin on their asses complaining to stand up and take action.

When the lady put up a fight she was stabbed in the gut by the offender. A civilian came over to help her who was also stabbed by the man. Another citizen tried to help and was stabbed as well. The 4th person, who stopped the criminal has a CCP. He apprehended the suspect at gunpoint until police arrived. Which was a few minutes after the stabbings. Just imagine how many more people could have got hurt. Police cannot be in every place to stop violence. You need to have a strong community as well. This proves this 100%. No it doesn't The amendment's purpose was meant to be relevant at anytime, the logic of humanity doesn't change and this is what it was built upon. This includes the government itself. This amendment was made to keep the government from stripping the people of their ability to fight anything PERIOD. I fail to see how this needs to be "updated".

@Osman Oglu I'll disregard your homophobic remarks. However, "A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed" is the wording of the second amendment. This law of having to get a license and the state picking and choosing who gets those licenses without regard that the petitioner may be of sound mind and still be denied is an infringement. So the actions that this criminal state sees as "legal" are actually illegal by the Constitution. It is not mandatory in every state to get a license. You must not be American so I will forgive the mistake. It is only mandatory in a handful. Every other State has refrained from treason. And since our judicial system is based on precedence then the fact that there are no Supreme Court cases on the matter makes the 2nd Amendment default.

If you are thinking that the left can somehow determine what "common sense gun ownership" is based on what they say is common sense, then you are sadly misguided. And originally, the ownership of weapons by the general population was due to the government (at that point in England) realizing that an unarmed population was easier to control than an armed one. That is sadly one history lesson that many governments learned but unfortunately, many citizens of many countries haven't learned, or at least seem to have forgotten.

Hasn’t anyone tried to challenge this? This sounds like this can easily be overturned in the Supreme Court.

In order to go to the supreme court it would have to go through every other level of court, and since all of these states are BEYOND corrupt.. it never leaves a local house. Fucking deep pockets control our law keepers.

SCOTUS has pretty much dodges every 2A case that comes its way. Justice Thomas even voiced his concerns about this. States know that they can implement unconstitutional policies, and simply change them before they get to the court so that the process can be repeated. NY did this with their ban on transporting weapons, and has made it impossible to even take a weapon somewhere to train.

There has been a few challenges, the SCOTUS is full of spineless people who don't want to upset the status quo. As someone else said there was a challenge where they temporarily changed the law to be more lax than it is, just so it wouldn't be taken up by the SCOTUS

They have dodged it the same way they dodged the 2020 election lawsuits.

We heard this week that the Supreme Court is going to hear a case on this. Stay tuned…but don't get your hopes up. When it's the elite versus the working class, the Supreme Court falls within the former.

Texas should have Constitutional carry (no permits needed to carry). A right that requires a permit is a privilege not a right.

Ross Temple Well a lot of the Californians that moved here voted for Cruz in 2018 while it was mostly Texans who voted for Beto...

@@rosstemple7617 Ted Cruz barely won the last election. It was like 51%/49%. Mostly the border counties and the major cities voted for Robert O'Rourke.

I heard from an acquaintance that his friend got a gun the unofficial NY way: bought from a pawn shop for $1200. Overpriced? Not when thugs have attacked him and police arrived in time to help him into the ambulance.
