STOUT || Kayaking Down Toketee Falls

Toketee Falls has been an inspirational drop for me since I started kayaking nearly a decade ago. With fickle water levels controlled by a dam just upstream, catching this gem at the right time is almost as tricky as running the falls themselves. A treacherous lead in, epic scenery, and a tall ass waterfall make this one of the PNW's most iconic drops.

That is really stout, the lead in is stouter than the drop

That's what I thought. That lead in had way more difficulty than the big drop.

nice to finally see a complete video from the put in. thank you. definitely one of the most beatiful waterfalls in the world. also gotta love those drops before. even more worth it! how often does this drop run btw? is it seasonal or only after (heavy?) rain? seems to be run only somewhat rarely...

Gorge above is easily the stoutest part of the day! There’s a dam just upstream of the falls that controls the level and rarely releases the right amount for this mission. Typically only after heavy rain events but even then, the flow range is narrow
