The small ones are called Pumpkin Crawlers, although I refer to call them Tanglers because they tangle you with vines coming from their bottom section. How they work: They hide in the corn crops, invisible, extending their vines across the path. When you step on one of their vines, they'll wrap their vines around you, making you move slower. Once they've tangled you, they become visible once again, allowing you to chop em down with your axe. 3 swipes usually does the trick. Here's a nice tip: When hiding, the Tangler itself may be invisible, but its vines aren't. If you see a vine on the ground, attempt to walk around it or go in a different direction in order to avoid getting tangled.
