That is true, we have to rid ourselves of the protestant arrogance to think that a mere leyman can understand the intricacies of the faith. It is humbling every time when you listen to a real scholar speak

Thought I’d give an update… I do KNOW now that Mary is legit! It only makes sense. It’s also part of the prophecy. There may not be much mention of here in the New Testament but the Old Testament eludes quite a bit to the facts. I might also say there is a lot the New Testament doesn’t say about Jesus

@@peterzinya1 I don’t have a Mary statue so I guess I’d say no! You won’t be in Heaven though that’s for sure. Disrespecting the mother of god. Do you think god chose her randomly? You don’t know these things because the cult you’re in removed and cut up the Bible. You took out 6 books that didn’t agree with Luther who wanted to marry a wife. You’re in a cult. @@orangemanbadthe true gospel of Christ in the catholic church? That is like an oxymoron. That gospel is like the Apostle Paul talks about in Galatians. He calls it "another gospel". He said anyone who preaches any other gospel that what he had preached, they are anathema. The "true gospel" you are talking about is not in scripture at all. Their is no such thing as a pope, or Peter as the rock. No such thing as a Catholic church in Matthew 16. No such thing as a Mary that saved, that is sinless, that was immaculately conceived, that was assumed into heaven etc, etc. The true gospel says nothing about transubstantiation. I mean Christ had not yet been crucified and he is present in the wafer? I missed that part in John 6. But if you'd like you can show me where those teachings are in scripture. I'd like to read about them.

@Edwin Gutierrez Only the Gospel of John records Mary being at the Crucifixion of Christ. Are these the verses you are referring to? (John 19:25-27) Standing by the cross of Jesus were his mother and his mother’s sister, Mary the wife of Clopas, and Mary of Magdala. When Jesus saw his mother and the disciple there whom he loved, he said to his mother, “Woman, behold, your son.” Then he said to the disciple, “Behold, your mother.” And from that hour the disciple took her into his home. What did Jesus command us to do?

@michaellemmen hi sorry if I confused you. But she is one of many reasons I am proud to be Catholic. But God,Jesus is the main reason, of course. I recognize that without her, none of it would be possible. Her Yes was instrumental, and I love that we celebrate that in so many ways. She was the vessel the new Ark of the covenant made to us by Jesus. She has always been a presence in my life as well. My mother went to St. Mary’s school and church in her hometown. I was baptized and made my first Communion at St. Mary's in St. Catharines Ontario and I now teach catechism at St. Mary’s in my new town of Moosomin. I also hold a special place for her mother St. Ann as my patron saint, which is my middle name. I always put God first and follow Mary’s example of always saying yes to God whenever he calls through everything in my life.

@@0Vissa0I don't like the word vessel there. It makes it sound like a surrogate mother. She did much more than that, she clothed, breastfed, took care of and raised our Lord. A surrogate doesn't risk her life on becoming a fugitive by escaping the King's orders through an exile to Egypt. But there's more. After Jesus' entrance into adulthood, she accompanied Him throught the rest of His life, until and including the Lord's unjust execution... while none but one of the Lord's thousands of disciples were present. No one, except the Blessed Virgin and John. This is more than a 'vessel'. This is a woman that took upon great tribulations, including watching the Son she raised die humiliatingly, in order to bring God's Will. So rather, let's bring forth great admiration. She was a great hero.

Given to me to share by the HOLY SPIRIT. Rev. 12:1 was in the heavens on September 23, 2017, on the Feast of Trumpets. Literally, Virgo was bathed in the sun with the moon at her feet and three planets in Leo. This is such a rare alignment, last alignment being in 3973 BC at the fall of Adam. The sign was on the feast of trumpets in 2017. It does not set a date, but it does tell us the season and we are the last generation. HIS Mazzaroth was HIS plan of salvation written in the constellations lost to time. Virgo and Leo are the two constellations full circle from the fall to the Kingdom or Gen. 3:15 to CHRIST seated on HIS throne in the Millennium. Rev. 12:2 look at Isa. 66:7 Israel didn't travail when JESUS was born, the woman did travail In holocaust before the Nation of Israel was born May 14th, 1948. Rev. 12:3 says to look at the constellation Dragon. The 7 heads are the states that became the Arab League of States. They make a pact with the Nazis in 1939 against the Jewish people aka "woman". The constellation dragon has in its tail Ursa Minor where we get the swastika symbol. Polaris is surrounded by the dragon making it visible both day and night, Rev. 12:10 accusing. Rev. 12:4 "And the tail (with swastika) drew (into ghettos and death camps) the one third (6 million) of the stars of heaven (Abraham's seed; Gen. 22:17) and did cast them to the ground (murdered and burned), and the dragon (Arab League of States) stood before the woman (children of Israel) which was ready to be delivered (Isa.66:8) so to devour her child (Newborn Nation of Israel) as soon as it was born (the dragon beast attacked the day Israel was born). Rev.12:5 is the Rapture "Harpazo" of the Body of Christ aka the Gentile Church. JESUS was not Harpazo: violently snatched away HE was "eperthe" slowly lifted up in the clouds. Second, JESUS was a man at HIS ascension. We are to be like a child to enter the Kingdom of GOD, hence "man child"; Mat. 18:2-5. Rev. 12:6 the 70th week of Daniel begins. Rev. 12:7-10 is a war of accusations over the man child. aka just Raptured Body of CHRIST aka Gentile Church; Jude 9. Like Moses was accused with railing accusations so will satan accuse us. Rev. 12:11 in Heaven the Testimony of the Blood of CHRIST on the Mercy Seat is presented to satan and he is rebuked by our Testimony confidence in GOD and SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST. Rev. 12:12 we rejoice at the Wedding supper of the Lamb dwelling in Heaven. Woe to the inhabitants on the earth satan knows his time is 7 years short.

I will make them envious by those who are not a people; I will make them angry by a nation that has no understanding. 22 For a fire will be kindled by my wrath, one that burns down to the realm of the dead below. It will devour the earth and its harvests and set afire the foundations of the mountains. 23 “I will heap calamities on them and spend my arrows against them. 24 I will send wasting famine against them, consuming pestilence and deadly plague; I will send against them the fangs of wild beasts, the venom of vipers that glide in the dust. 25 In the street the sword will make them childless; in their homes terror will reign. The young men and young women will perish, the infants and those with gray hair. 26 I said I would scatter them and erase their name from human memory, 27 but I dreaded the taunt of the enemy, lest the adversary misunderstand and say, ‘Our hand has triumphed; the Lord has not done all this.’” 28 They are a nation without sense, there is no discernment in them. 29 If only they were wise and would understand this and discern what their end will be! 30 How could one man chase a thousand, or two put ten thousand to flight, unless their Rock had sold them, unless the Lord had given them up? 31 For their rock is not like our Rock, as even our enemies concede. 32 Their vine comes from the vine of Sodom and from the fields of Gomorrah. Their grapes are filled with poison, and their clusters with bitterness. 33 Their wine is the venom of serpents, the deadly poison of cobras. 34 “Have I not kept this in reserve and sealed it in my vaults? 35 It is mine to avenge; I will repay. In due time their foot will slip; their day of disaster is near and their doom rushes upon them.” 36 The Lord will vindicate his people and relent concerning his servants when he sees their strength is gone and no one is left, slave or free. 37 He will say: “Now where are their gods, the rock they took refuge in, 38 the gods who ate the fat of their sacrifices and drank the wine of their drink offerings? Mary doesn't fit into the plan of salvation, as sinners we need Jesus he is the lamb of God that takes away the sin of the world. Somewhere in history some misguided people made mary an idol in relating to the birth of Christ, they have made her divine which is not biblical. False doctrine. Mary was an ordinary Jewish girl who agreed to God's plan for the Holy Spirit to conceive Jesus in her. That is all, Jesus had to born human but was 100% divine to fulfil the plan of redemption.

MARY is our MOTHER and QUEEN of the NEW DAVIDIC KINGDOM ( GOD is not a solitude but a FAMILY) John 19:26 - Jesus makes Mary the Mother of us all as He dies on the Cross by saying "behold your mother." Jesus did not say "John, behold your mother" because he gave Mary to all of us, his beloved disciples. All the words that Jesus spoke on Cross had a divine purpose. Jesus was not just telling John to take care of his mother. Rev. 12:17 - this verse proves the meaning of John 19:26. The "woman's" (Mary's) offspring are those who follow Jesus. She is our Mother and we are her offspring in Jesus Christ. The master plan of God's covenant love for us is family. But we cannot be a complete family with the Fatherhood of God and the Brotherhood of Christ without the Motherhood of Mary. John 2:3 - this is a very significant verse in Scripture. As our mother, Mary tells all of us to do whatever Jesus tells us. Further, Mary's intercession at the marriage feast in Cana triggers Jesus' ministry and a foreshadowing of the Eucharistic celebration of the Lamb. This celebration unites all believers into one family through the marriage of divinity and humanity. John 2:7 - Jesus allows His mother to intercede for the people on His behalf, and responds to His mother's request by ordering the servants to fill the jars with water. Psalm 45:9 - the psalmist teaches that the Queen stands at the right hand of God. The role of the Queen is important in God's kingdom. Mary the Queen of heaven is at the right hand of the Son of God. 1 Kings 2:17, 20 - in the Old Testament Davidic kingdom, the King does not refuse his mother. Jesus is the new Davidic King, and He does not refuse the requests of his mother Mary, the Queen. 1 Kings 2:18 - in the Old Testament Davidic kingdom, the Queen intercedes on behalf of the King's followers. She is the Queen Mother (or "Gebirah"). Mary is our eternal Gebirah. 1 Kings 2:19 - in the Old Testament Davidic kingdom the King bows down to his mother and she sits at his right hand. We, as children of the New Covenant, should imitate our King and pay the same homage to Mary our Mother. By honoring Mary, we honor our King, Jesus Christ. 1 Kings 15:13 - the Queen Mother is a powerful position in Israel's royal monarchy. Here the Queen is removed from office. But now, the Davidic kingdom is perfected by Jesus, and our Mother Mary is forever at His right hand. 2 Chron. 22:10 - here Queen Mother Athalia destroys the royal family of Judah after she sees her son, King Ahaziah, dead. The Queen mother plays a significant role in the kingdom. Neh. 2:6 - the Queen Mother sits beside the King. She is the primary intercessor before the King. -John Reynolds

Mary was a humble girl that Heavenly Father used to bring His Word into the world by becoming a human! It is ALL about JESUS CHRIST...and no one else...where salvation is concerned ! JESUS IS MORE THAN ENOUGH for one to be saved thru His Spirit...to reach Father and His Kingdom! No one else needed! It's all about having a personal relationship with God thru Jesus Christ in the Holy Spirit...that's all that's expected of us...LOVE GOD AND ONE ANOTHER...meaning the ones still alive in the earth...the LIVING...God NEVER told us to LOVE the (dead or) departed...although we will see them one day...by God's grace when we enter His Kingdom...however God forbade us from talking to the departed!!! It is SO, SAD...the ones teaching theology that contradicts God's Word...they will have to answer God...BIG TIME!!!

Gary G. Michuta (Making Sense of Mary: Grotto Press) cites Zechariah 2:10 to connect the verse with John 1:14. In the prophecy, God says, "I am coming to dwell among you." The author informs us that the Greek word for "dwell" is 'kataskenoso', whose root word for "tent" or "tabernacle" is 'skene', viz., the portable tent or tabernacle that housed the Ark of the Covenant before Solomon built the Temple. In the Gospel of John (1:14), the Greek word for "dwelt" is 'eskenosen' which is derived from the same root word 'skene'. So, the evangelist is literally saying, "The Word became flesh and tabernacled among us." This occurred when Mary was overshadowed by the Holy Spirit and conceived our Lord. God's incarnated presence filled the temple of her body and the sanctuary of her womb in which He personally dwelled and filled with His glory as He had the Ark of the Covenant. Mary's perpetual virginity is a corollary of her being the New Ark of the Covenant.

I think you (catholic church) have missed the purpose of Jesus being the lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world. Jesus is the saviour. God does not need help from "Mary"! The gospels show clearly that we pray to Jesus, we have access to the throne of Grace we are made righteous through Christ, ( read Romans 8 v 26-27- nothing about Mary) You don't need a priest to confess either, your righteousness in Christ ( if you are a born again christian ie made Jesus your Lord and saviour) means you can go to the Father yourself, as his child and confess sins pray etc. The catholic religion has been made up of centuries of false doctrine, many centuries ago the bible was not available to the ordinary christian and people had to rely on the priests or ministers of the day, so lots of untruth were created. Mary is very clearly a human who God used to bring Christ into the world, she went on and got married and would have lived an ordinary life of the 1st century, God had to use someone for Jesus to be born. What has happened in catholic church, Mary has replaced Christ, it is lie that you go to Christ through mary. You need a New King James Bible and start reading through the NT asking the Holy Spirit to lead you into all truth. The book of Acts is how the church started and you can see how far "religion" has taken people away from good doctrine. When Jesus said to Peter I will build my church what He was saying I will build my church on the revelation that Jesus is the Christ, he is the chief corner stone. It has been misinterpreted that the church was to built on Peter, why would a spiritual church be built on a human being? Peter was given a revelation by God that Jesus was the Son of God and Christ is the head of the church are we are his body, nothing to do with Peter. So there is lots of false doctrine the catholic church is based on and is not biblical.

@Sterling Crowne no, you totally missed the point of what jesus says there by over emphasizing the message comes after that passage. The mother and the brother of jesus (spiritually) are those who do the will of the God. Unfortunately, Mary, who is His literal mother is INDEED a person who does the will of God! Obey the will of God (be unto me according to Thy will). Then the question is, by this criteria that u proposed as denial to the role of Mary, isnt Mary indeed also the mother of Him (literally and spiritually?) 😁😁 And why would jesus "denied" Mary at that time? For me, I would totally agree and would do the exact same thing as jesus did if i were in Jesus position. It shows his true morality that he had been teaching to many people to be not a "corrupt" person in public service as he did at the time was a public service. As a contrast to that nepotism of Jews official. If you are a public official in public service, as an integrity person you would do the same that jesus did if your mom came to your office. People might ask u to let your mom be served firstly. But i guess you would deny. Does that mean u deny the importantt role she has over you in your entire life? I guess not.

@Sterling Crowne im burst out laughing haha. Here is why your logic fails immediately. 1. You said (just like u quoted it from John 2:5) that instead walk away, Mary TURNED to the servants just right away after Jesus states His time was not coming. 2. After stating that, miraculously you also stated that Mary was stubborn and committed the sin of pride which absolutely contradicting your first statement and the fact that is served in the bible. NEVER it is said in the bible that Mary INSISTED Jesus to do it. NEVER. What surprisingly Mary did was TURNED to the servants and told em to be READY. Not even one persuasive action she implied after asking Jesus a favor. She simply says, WHATEVER HE SAYS to you, do it. Jesus could said at the time, NO, I DONT WANNA DO THAT. BUT what Jesus says was quite contrary to your own assumption and accusation. He FULFILLED the WISH of His Mother! Mary's response to servants "whatever he says" beautifully depicts the total submission of Her to Jesus's will. It is not a coincident actually. Just like she said to the angel, "be it done to me according to thy will." 3. Well, you gotta find another argument to establish the SIN OF PROUD you have accused to Mary then haha. Unfortunately, seems like you are the one who has sinned proud. You should have seen it, the beautiful message. Instead of mocking Mary by this passage, turns out it shows the true nature of her. Imagine! Your Lord and Messiah, HAD ALREADY GOT PLAN OF His service! BUT HE WILLINGLY "CHANGE" IT for the favor of His Mother! Of course by this i dont say that God isnt omniscient, He is! The fact is God had included this particular moment to show us how Mary's role in the presence of her own Son! You have incredibly picked the right passage to show this. No pride not even sin. It is even humiliating to say Mary had sin over this since the God himself fulfilled what you called as "sin". God bless you, read again your bible Kate. Hehehe.

@Sterling Crowne interestingly, in Act 8:33, word tapeinosis also used and adressed to Jesus! Would you go by the same criteria, the same logic, the same accusation just like u use it to Mary? Apparently you wouldnt. And to add this, calvin the reformator really liked to use this word to describe the nature of Jesus. Wow, surprise!! So, where does this sinless Mary come from. First of all, you have to understand the typology of Mary as the New Eve, the New Ark Covenant. But unfortunately, it will be hard to explain since you read bible by prooftexting it, let alone learn in theology way. Thats why, poor taught lay catholic convert to protestantism while advanced and knowing thelogians protestants cross the river to Rome. Notice Jesus *didn't* say that Abraham, Jacob and Isaac *will* be alive at the day of the resurrection and he also didn't say that God *will* be the God of the living, instead he said they are alive right now, as God is the God of the living, which only makes sense if the saints were alive in the body of Christ. As for Acts 2, no one is denying the dead aren't physically dead, no Christian has or ever will believe people are fully awake in their graves. That is a misrepresentation of the point I was making. All Acts 2 shows is the difference between physical and spiritual death.

You are so wrong but I'm sure mean well. It is very clear in the bible that Mary was a human Jewish girl that accepted God's plan to bear the Christ, saviour of the world she brought him up so he could fulfil his purpose at His death it ends there. She married and lived a normal life, and had to receive Jesus as her Lord and saviour too. She was a sinner that need saving like anyone else. Jesus was the only sinless sacrifice no where does it say Jesus and Mary. I think Mary would not be impressed knowing she is worshipped on earth. She was a handmaiden of God, in Matthew 1 it says Jacob begot Joseph the husband of Mary and "Joseph. son of David , do not be afraid to take Mary your wife for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit. God performed a miracle in Mary it was all God as Mary was human not divine. But I know you guys so heavily indoctrinated and you need divine revelation to open your eyes to truth of mary false doctrine. I also found in the book of Acts she waits with others to receive the promise of the Holy Spirit. If she was divine she would not need to do this. After that you don't hear of Mary in the New Testament.

*R Catholicism has nothing to do with God and His Words. R Catholic Church contradicts Scriptures in every possible ways!* 1. Catholics say Mary was sinless. But BIBLE says Mary offered a sinner's offering. She was a sinner. Bible says Mary needed a Saviour. Lk 2:23-24, Lev 12:6-8, Rom 3:10. 2. Catholics say clergies must be celibate. Yet BIBLE says Peter (supposed R Church first leader) had mother in law. Bible says celibacy is not a qualification for clergies. Mat 8:14-15, Mar 1:30-31, Luk 4:38-39. 3. Catholics say Mary was forever virgin. Yet BIBLE says Jesus had brothers and sisters. Mary was not perpetually virgin. Mk 6:3, Mat 13:55, Mat 27:56, Mar 6:3, Mar 15:40, Mar 15:47. 4. Catholics say confess to R priests in a box. BIBLE says nothing about confessing to priests in a box. Bible says confess to GOD only. 1 John 1:9, Mat 6, Romans 10:9-10. 5. Catholics say drink of the physical blood of Jesus. Yet OT and NT both say do not drink blood. Acts 15, Lev 7:26. 6. Catholics say pray to passed on Mary and "saints". Yet BIBLE says do not contact the dead. NT Church did not record a single case of NT believers asking passed on saints to pray for them. Deut 18:11, Isaiah 8:19. 7. Catholics make and bow down to statues. BIBLE says do not bow down to graven images (statues). Deut 4, Exo 20:4-5. 8. Catholics sprinkles “holy water”. But NT Church of the Bible mentioned nothing about “holy water”. There was no record of any Apostles sprinkling “holy water” on believers. Catholics claimed “holy water” came from OT. Yet Num 5:17 says “holy water” was water used to test adulterous women in OT temple. Hardly the same. Those were for Old Covenant Jews. Not New Testament Christians. 9. Catholics say Peter was pope - bishop of all bishops. Yet BIBLE says Peter was just a leader of the Jerusalem Church. Bible says nothing of the office of bishop of bishops. Gal 2:9, Mat 16:18. 10. Catholics say there is a seat of Peter. Yet BIBLE says nothing about it. Jesus said “not to lord over others”. 11. Catholics has clergy priesthood. Bible says clergy priesthood was done away with in New Testament. There is no clergy priesthood in NT. Heb 7:27, 9:12, 10:10. 12. Catholics preaches Works Salvation (faith + good works + partake R sacraments + submit to R pontiff + be in R Church + devote to Mary = to be saved). Yet Bible says “believe in Jesus to be saved”. Bible says Works Salvation is cursed. Gal 1:8-9. Acts 16:30-31, John 3:16, Romans 10:9-10. 13. Catholics says they must do Penance to atone for their sins. Yet Bible says repent, confess and sins will be forgiven. Catholic Bible changes the word “repentance” in NT into “penance”. Original Greek NT does not use or mean the word penance. Penance = work to atone for sins. Repentance = change of heart. 1 John 1:9, Mat 6. 14. Catholics say Mary went straight to heaven without dying. Yet Bible says nothing about it. 15. Catholics say Islam and Christianity have the same GOD. Yet Islam doesn't believe in death and resurrection of Jesus and Trinity.
