At first, comments are given on the development of strabismus in infants. Following this, strabismus development in adults is discussed where it is most likely to develop as a result of injury or disease.
Patient history, visual acuity, refraction, and eye health exam are the factors to be assessed for the diagnosis of strabismus.
Proceeding further, information about eye patches is given which is used only if amblyopia is present.
Treatment is also discussed including surgical methods and nonsurgical methods.
