Box cutter is sharper because it's made to slice carpet, cardboard and duct tape.

Yes I think a box cutter is maybe the most effective of the three, super clean and huge cuts , they even have karambit style box cutters !!

@@weaponman3872 I did get stopped by the police walking past Glasgow Central railway station had a crowbar and screwdriver boxcutter I was going to an emergency job as an engineer I had to explain that I couldn't find any parking space near my job the lady police women wanted to charge me for having weapons but the police man was a bit more sensible I showed him my works ID and the job on my PDA he told me next time keep them in a tool bag

They sell curved sharpening stones made specifically for sharpening karambits. Lansky sells a nice set of curved karambit stones. Karambits can also be sharpened on a wheel sharpener like a Tormek.

It does appear the karambit is superior for slashing. Though with any folding blade I'm a little concerned about the lock mechanism failing and the blade folding onto the fingers. I'd imagine that when attempting to stab with the folding karambit there is an increased chance of this happening over a straight blade. Plus, the shape of that blade might make it more efficient for severing the fingers. The straight blade may be somewhat useful for slashing the bare skin on the arms or hands of an aggressor coming at you. Though as you've demonstrated, clothed areas would require a stab. As deeply as the karambit slashes, that might be the best way to attack any area and avoid risk of consequence to one's own fingers.

Ya I agree , you hit the nail on the head , your fingers are absolutely a concern with stabbing with that karambit haha , I wouldn't even bother when it can slash so we'll!! With the other one tho .. shank shank shank !!!
