SKZ was practically unknown to me prior to watching Kingdom:LW ~ I started the show for ATEEZ, and I already knew SF9, but I think I'd only heard "Hellevator" before watching. It was funny since I'd wind up hearing them do a song on the show, then immediately looking it up so I could compare it to what other people would've already known. SKZ definitely set the stage on fire every time... and this one is certainly no exception (ahem). Han trips me out in the subway car stage, straight-up tosses the guy to the side as he's passing (of course, he's our lovely quokka, and they're known for tossing their kids at danger so they can run away rofl). Then we have Channie doing his own version of pole dancing. Follow that with Felix's deep voice and bringing in the du-du-du sequence from "God's Menu" (in the beginning, part of the robot-voice intro says "Shin Menu" = "God's Menu"). Beautiful angelic boy smiling his way into our hearts despite having all guns on him. Binnie's "yaaw" telling us he's about to bring the pain. Back to Felix jumping through the wannabe lasers... and they just keep it going, until they make us THINK we'll get a break, only to smack us in the face with more awesome and a bit of humor. To think this one wasn't even their finale, haha. Honestly, Kingdom:LW was just so great. I enjoyed most of the performances (not all, I'll be honest). My favorites were the combined ones with 2 teams of 3 groups each, because we got to learn what an amazing combination you get when you mix SKZ, ATEEZ, and BTOB. Just wow. Do yourself the favor of actually watching the whole show on your own though (if you're not already), just to see the field day stuff and reactions from the other groups -- those reactions are what makes the whole show so priceless, for me. Wooyoung's "MY SON!" will forever live rent-free in my head.

While largely a cover of BP's song, the remix here also incorporates part of SKZ's own God's Menu. For example, notice that it went from BP's "ddu-du ddu-du" to SKZ's "du du du du du du" in that section where you rewound to listen to Felix. The shared "du" onomatopoeia between the two songs (in BP's, it's used as a gunshot; in SKZ's, it's the sound of chopping) -- and probably the bazillion reactors who've mistakenly thought its inclusion in God's Menu was an homage (or a diss) to BP, since Chris sees those reactions -- is what inspired him to go for this remixed cover. (He's also good friends with Lisa from BP, meaning he got to cover his friend's song.)

Yes, throughout the years they've done numerous covers of older groups. That's pretty much an expected thing of newer groups: cover the songs of your seniors. So they've covered That One Boy Group Everyone Knows About (but which I won't name here because of the risk that it will draw the toxic minority into your comments section with their fanwar baggage), BP, EXO, BigBang, TWICE, and plenty of others. It's not something they do much anymore (barring personally chosen unofficial solo bits during down time in concerts, wherein they'll cover everyone from Nirvana to Ed Sheeran to New Jeans) because they're now considered one of those established senior groups. Having been around for five years, debuting only about three months after the 4th gen started, they're one of the most long-extant 4th-gen groups; they're the sunbaes. So it's the new groups coming up now (in the latter days of 4th gen) who are covering SKZ instead.
