Yeah it is complex. I'm straight and a character artist and studying anatomy comes with the territory. Figure drawing too. So male nudity, in the right context, doesn't make me uncomfortable but that's not to say I feel the same way lookin at a dude's body as a woman's. In fact there's like a mini hurdle of "ooh she's hot" I gotta mentally get over when drawing attractive female models, cause I have to get to art business and stop looking in the other way lol. But yeah as I studied anatomy I feel the same lookin at male musculature as I do lookin at a cool suit of armor. To put it simply looks "cool," but not attractive. Whereas the female form is both cool, but there's another layer of beauty/sexiness I also feel on top of that. Totally different appreciations. Or to simplify, when drawing dudes I may think "Huh, shoulder looks kinda cool, lemme translate that in this drawing," but with an attractive female it may be "Damn... that ass is... oh shit I'm supposed to be drawing. Fuck, that nice ass is hard as hell to draw."

@Oceanfreak6

@hotpockets69 Weakness isn’t necessarily constrained to physical prowess. It can present itself as a flimsy constitution, lack of moral backbone or decreased aggression in response to outside stimuli. I’m pretty fit, (but by no means “manly”), and my type is the stereotypical strong masculine man so I guess I’m particularly tuned in to that landscape in general. There are plenty of gays who are “straight acting” and stereotypically masculine with the body and persona to go with it, it’s just exceedingly rare in the community. That’s not to say it’s a negative, it’s just a different space with different rules, relatively speaking.

Has anyone on here ever heard of Heterosexual OCD? I learned this from Reddit, that many straight people start to get conflicted because of social media and their surroundings, they’re not attracted to the same sex at all, but begin to think they are gay and are scared that they don’t know their sexuality , so then they become defensive. There’s also one for people who worry they might be pedos, they are not attracted to children at all but are scared to be, and have OCD A psychologist posted this on Reddit on a thread. They focused more on the second one, saying that there’s a lot of people out there who worry about being a predator so much, that it consumes their life when they really aren’t, they’re just scared to be, they stated that it’s more common than you think and they have many patients who come in for this. Platonic friendships are awesome, I feel like it’s easier for women because we can express ourselves without being told/labeled about our sexuality is, but for men, if they do something they get labeled so easily. So I can see why many are scared to just be themselves. None of us like being told what we are, we know what we are.

So what I grasped from this segment is that it's not based around sexuality but more around masculinity and how the word ghey is negatively stigmatised around it. There's a huge reason why your male friends are you're friends. You can say "I don't know why we friends" all you wanna" but you deffo know and that doesn't make you any less of a man at all. I guess this video low-key opens the light nuances of straight men being afraid to be casually expressive, because of the fear of being called Ghey or doing Ghey things. "If you love ya homie, you love him" ain't nothing wrong that 👌🏾

Geh is geh, and I absolutely love trolling the fuck out of these two with that, while sitting invincibly in my female throne that's completely shielded from the geh. I'm a woman and I've never asked a friend why they like me. That's some really weird, lowkey insecure shit to me. Same thing for guys using the pause/no homo when they're around someone who should already know them well enough to know that they're not gay. For some reason a lot of women like to see two guys kiss. It's definitely an instinctive reaction for me to just look away when I see it. No hate, no judgement, just 'Woah! Look somewhere else'. But if it's longer than a peck I'll do that for anyone, it feels weird watching it.

One time me and my bros were just talking about salt baes restaurant and I legit asked " would you guys let salt bae dangle the meat over your face" and they were like Ayo !!! Shit was funny AF. Also us guys do compliment each other like after we go to the barbers they'll be "yh your trims looks sharp my G" unlike girls who do lashes and eyebrows...ect males and females groom differently so we'd only notice the areas which we're expected to groom, maintain or take care of.

What I am seeing in this video is "fit the description" type stuff. If you are not checking boxes that defines 'beauty or coolness' then you are hitting the boxes that defines being 'ugly and stupid.' That's how we are constantly seeing people dead on the news, you know what I mean? It's the littlest chit that people nowadays think about. People already having a list to cancel you by and a list to show that you're 'the good one's.' It's when you hit the boxes, they "know you right off the bat," but that is stalk chit that you used to see on television and that is sus as fvck. That's why I am looking at my own generation and older generations sideways, because it is the same sus chit that you would see in a fictional film, but in real life.

I use to think about it a lot when I was feeling bad about myself, I think women are more like to to openly ask it because they wouldn't get as judged as men would. As a long time fan of these two and their points of view, antics, and stances on many things, and as a gay man, I found this episode interesting. I think most men don’t think about why they like someone, but rather they just stick close to those that they enjoy being around. Women tend to be more in their heads and they try getting into other womens and others mens heads too. Both of these statements being on average. So I would not say that this is a “ghey” stance but it’s not traditionally masculine. Stoicism is traditionally masculine and paternal but if a father chose to show more emotion or exhibit a more maternal outreach, that as well should not be seen as “ghey” just because it as well is less traditionally masculine. But all this stemmed from a guy looking at male feet and feeling uncomfortable. I mean, I think Aba just felt weird because it’s not his flavor and Preach just has a different approach to things, so this literally didn’t impact him at all.

You just described anxiety and manipulative behavior. Being 'in their heads' isn't normal. Normal people don't spend much time in their heads. Anxious people do that. Normal people don't try to get in other people's heads. Narcissists do that. Emotion isn't masculine or feminine all normal Empathetic people show emotion, and one can be both stoic and also share emotion. They don't have to be dramatic or animated about it. Stoic doesn't mean devoid of emotion, it just means emotionally stable, rational, reasonable, and calm. Women and ghey are emotionally unstable. Most ghey are narcs. The ones that aren't are usually empaths being used by ghey narcs. Woo psychology 😁

@@looweegee252 i said this to someone yesterday they claimed when were lacking emotion my point was only weak people lack those things i was around very strong men, but they were expressive with their emotions but, like stoicism they were stable it showed a healthy way to cope and notice with what we feel i saw my uncle cry at my grans funeral first time i saw him cry i asked him what was the thing that made him cry and he said something so profound 'not being there for someone in their last hours crushes me beyond belief because this is a women that has been there every second of my life' he cried because he didn't really get to say goodbye and the goodbye he got was carrying his mother. i tear up even writing that because it showed me just how much people can feel for someone and the presence they gave to their life this is part of the reason why i tell all my friends i love them before leaving.

Shit is simple. It's only weird if you make it weird. If you're a grown up you shouldn't feel uncomfortable expressing yourself or how it's going to be interpreted. Especially around people you know and care about. No subject matter or conversation should be off limits unless there's a legitimate reason. Just because it makes you "feel weird" is not it. You need to work out those insecurities. How is anyone ever supposed to get to know the real you if you're constantly editing yourself? Life is too short to spend it going around caring about what everyone thinks. Anyone worth having around will respect you more for being yourself. Even if they don't agree with you. Don't trouble yourself with the rest. Time is a precious resource. Don't spend it pretending to be someone you're not.

I remember when they were supposed to be reacting to the Jubilee video. Still laughed my ass off but it's hilarious how the vid got entirely dropped and they still give 20 minutes of content to laugh with.

I feel like this turned into an almost 30 minute philosophical discussion to avoid looking at men's feet, and I aint mad at it, I was gonna skip this video, cause I wasn't trying to look either LOL.

Sometimes, if someone is asking why another friend likes you or hangs around you, it could be a form of trying to protect that person from being used. Are they hanging around you because you always pick up the check or pay for drinks? Do you have connections that the other person is trying to exploit? Do you have a cool car or amazing apartment that they enjoy being in? So, it is a legitimate question. Why does blank like you? Why do they hand around you?

Overall I think it's a societal issue that makes men less comfortable about their sexualities. Women have less reason to be afraid people might assume they're gay than men have, strictly because of the way it's been ingrained in men more over the years. As a straight woman and an artist, I could draw a naked man or woman no problem without feeling uncomfortable (I might actually be more comfortable drawing the woman lol) whereas if a dude drew a naked man, people would pause on that. Just kinda silly tbh

Preach, I think points out that culturally speaking, people turn thing gyeh. Things in it of themselves are not gyeh. In my opinion, this why men's mental health does not get addrrssed: you ask a question, you are automatically associated with being gyeh. Ironically, when we have asked these questions, we have made leaps in psychology writ large. (Disclaimer: none of this applies to the foot question. I think people there are a larger set of people that strongly associate feet as a fetish)

Idk, knowing what your positive and likeable traits are can be good to know. And if you've tried to set up a game night or something, you know that figuring out group dynamics can be important... So, you know.

Shout out to Harlem for implementing the use of pause in the context of which we as a culture use it in today. Some things require a pause in life, especially flagrant accidental phrases (that shit was mad big) pause 😂

sometimes just being confortable around someone is not paying close attention to their features, but being cool with whatever they share with you.
