A few things:
▪︎ I don't watch all of Uki's streams, and I'm just a beginner clipper, so there's no guarantee that I'll clip every single moment from them. Thank you all for understanding!
▪︎ Clips are only a small portion of a long stream, so some context from the VOD might be omitted. Please make sure to check out the VODs yourselves.
▪︎ Feel free to repost clips from my edits WITH CREDIT. Including the YT URL is enough.
▪︎ Please refrain from mentioning the livers' past lives or personal information in the comments. These videos are posted under official tags; please discuss those things elsewhere.
▪︎ If one of my videos are centered around a certain ship, please refrain from mentioning other ships as to avoid any sort of ship wars.
▪︎ Lastly, I'd like to stay anonymous. Don't ask me for my personal social media, don't ask personal stuff in general, you get the idea.

They do talk about this every so often but they don’t even have to. Just seeing them be unapologetically themselves is inspiring. I know based on some of the terrible off handed comments my parents make about strangers that they wouldn’t accept me if I came out to them so I have just decided that I don’t need their acceptance. They don’t have to know, it’s not that important to me anymore that they accept me. Because I know other people who mean more to me will, and uki Is a part of inspiring me to put myself first. 💜

I'm happy that you're prioritizing your self than any others opinion. As a mother I don't understand why some people would not accept their child just because they do have a preferred gender. Specially if you're a mom. Like you carried that child for 9 months. Risk your life bring that child to the world. You've sacrificed a lot for them so won't you want them to be happy too? Don't you want them to be safe? I don't really get it why would a parent do that to their own child. it's stupid.

@@lynseoltang1183 thank you. Your way of thinking about it is very mature and I respect it a lot. I think some people just don’t base their support of their child on that, but rather compare them to other people and what has been the norm for their entire life. So they can’t accept their child being different from that. It’s very sad and I wish more parents could see things the way you do.

"to feel a lit bit safer mentally and emotionally" "had to wait until I was able to get a place where I could move out and afford it." this is me with my bisexuality and bipolar and other mental disorders here. Sometimes, ppl throw a different shi- at bi ppl like "choose one" or "r u faking here?". We get that even from lgbtq community. Perhaps whoever said that isn't educated enough but I feel so bad about that.

Ive always had to hide my true identity, even to the point where I dissociate myself and regurgitate every homophobic things people have said to save my ass. It's really hard, it really is. it's even sadder that I cant ever open up to anyone atleast until Im out of the education system, because universities rely heavily on friendship. I hate it so much I really do, but hearing uki talk about this always makes me look forward to the day where I can breathe and find people who love me, accept my sexuality, and let me be free to be myself. I can't wait till that day. I know it will come, I've met so many people, talk to therapists, and tell my true self without them telling me its unnatural. Without shame. Without guilt. One day I'll meet those people, and I'm sure you all too.

People always just talk about safe spaces for lgbtq+ people, but what about people who have been bullied for having physical or mental disabilities. I don't get why people only want safe spaces for lgbtq+ people, but don't care about other groups who have been bullied, threatened etc. for being different. It feels like the only group that should deserve acceptance is the lgbtq+ one, and not any other group.

Honestly, I think uki was the first and only streamer I consistently watched before my schedule started getting a lot more busy. As a queer person, I always felt so happy to be a part of his community. He’s one of the first queer VTubers I learned about, so it made me feel a lot less alone in the world. All in all, while I might not watch uki as much as I did before, I’m so happy for the time I did watch his videos and streams. They made me happy and feel safe, when at times I’ve felt unsafe because of my identity. To all the queer folks or just people who are coming to terms with their identities, I always want you to know that just because you aren’t the defined “norm” doesn’t make you any less deserving of love, whether it’s platonic, romantic or familial. :)

You could try to explain it in more simple terms. Most of the time you arent going to be able to get them to use the right terms, but if you care about her understanding you have to accept some inaccuracies. Maybe say something like “i dont feel like im a boy or a girl” or rather than “im nonbinary”. Or “Being a boy or a girl doesn’t feel right, i only feel comfortable not using either”. Tell her more how you feel, and how being this or that makes you feel rather than trying to get her to agree with the label. You might never be able to get her to use the term or pronouns, but at the very least you can get closer.
