B-Team should make it so the waves can wash things off the raft, but they should also make it so you can use lashings and tarps to secure the stuff on the boat. it could have like a "press E to interact" where the lashing gets untied and you get back the tarp but not the lashing.

Build them their own house. Putting them in your house is going to be extremely difficult, impractical, and will only be possible for about three sharks and then you will just end up tripping over them constantly.
