On October 10th of 1991, 12 year old Tiffany Dixon dropped her little brother off at school at Public School 58 in Carroll Gardens, Brooklyn New York. She dropped him off safely, then began the ten minute walk to her own school just 4 blocks away, but she would never make it there. A borough wide search was quickly underway, but till this very day, she has never been seen or heard from again. Decades later, Tiffany's name would end up in the headlines once again, as authorities investigate if she might be a victim of Rex Heuermann, the alleged Long Island Serial K*ller (LISK), also known as the Gilgo Beach K*ller. This is Tiffany's story.

It was a period of time from around the early 80s to the mid 90s where it was so many kids going missing in the 5 boros of NYC. Equilla Hodrick went missing and was last seen running for an ice-cream truck on Bainbridge Ave in the Bronx. This was near my old block on Valentine Ave. Missing people cases especially kids are extremely disturbing to me.

She definitely didn't leave on her own accord. I'm disgusted how NYPD automatically named her a "runaway". Their lack of compassion and their laziness really ruined chances of finding evidence and leads during the earliest time during Tiffany's disappearance. The fact Tiffany took her time to make sure her little brother went inside safely into the school he was attending shows how responsible, caring and aware she was. She was a very beautiful, smart and talented young girl. I hate how she never got the chance to fulfill her true potential, how her mother and father died and her aunt and brothers had suffered with her disappearance. I hope deep down she is alive but for a young girl at that time period to be by herself in a place like Brooklyn makes it seem unlikely. I pray answers are found soon for the family 🙏❤️

The way calling a minor a runaway somehow makes them exempt from police investigation has always mystified me. Runaways are just as endangered and missing as a kidnapped child because the result is usually the same. The cases as a whole does sound like the work of a serial predator or trafficker.

The world is a scary place…. Have you seen the story where a little girl went to a grocery store with her grandmother (or aunt I can’t remember) and when the little girl was waiting on her grandmother to come back from the rest room a man abducted her and sexually assaulted her. Thank God a Good Samaritan stopped what was happening and the little girl was returned back to the store. It’s unclear WHY TF the little girl was by herself AGAIN giving what had just happened but not even 20 minutes later the man went BACK to that very parking lot, abducted her AGAIN, and proceeded to sexually assault her AGAIN! The world is full of so much evil.

Has the route of modelling been considered? She suddenly decided to change her mind from being a scientist to being a model, stating she was pretty enough. Its something someone must've told her for her to be like yeah you're actually right
@bigpumpkin49
@bigpumpkin49 24 күн бұрын
Omggggg yesssssss I was thinking the exact same thing. I really believe that it's connected to her disappearance. Her sudden change of career choice seemed abrupt, but not unusual at that age. However, the "I'm pretty enough " statement seems like something someone else said to her. Whoever is responsible for her disappearance is probably someone she saw daily on her commute. She had a regular routine and they probably had been, making small talk, gaining her trust....and then one day they convinced her to go away with them after dropping off her brother. It could even be a female involved in luring her away as young girl she may have trusted her more easily and let her guard down....idk just a theory.
@swannoir7949
@swannoir7949 24 күн бұрын
@@bigpumpkin49Plausible theory, no doubt. I can actually see that happening, as I remember when I was in the 8th grade, a classmate shared a story about being approached to be a 'model'. The 80-90s were still those times when models were being 'discovered' on the streets of everyday life. Only a grown up says 'you're pretty enough', playing on her vanity (or lack of). That model idea was put in her head, using the power of suggestion. It's sad that nobody saw her. My heart hurts for these children, and I'm glad I made it to my 50s, because I know that I've put myself in some messed up positions that could have ended up with me never to be seen again. But for the grace of The Creator, that was not to be my faith.

Hey Jose. Once again, you did an excellent job telling the sad story of one of NYC's beautiful and brightest children going missing in the 90's at a time when this happened way too often. Another story that stands out happened on September 10, 1991 in the Bronx NY. An 8 year old girl named Shemika Jennings went missing never to be seen or heard from again. Police and people in the neighborhood searched for her to no avail. Her missing photo and information was all over the news and in the newspapers. A few days later, police found her body floating inside of a laundry bag in the Harlem River near the Triborough Bridge. It was determined that she had been strangled and raped. What made this story particularly special was the fact that this was the day she was supposed to start the 3rd grade. I'm not sure if her killer was caught and there's definitely more to the story. I was a child when this happened and she was in my 2nd grade class. She was also my friend and I remember my Mom asking me if I wanted to go to the funeral but I was too sad. I was hoping you could do a piece on her. Her story should be told as well. I remember channel 5 Fox news NY being very insensitive about her missing report. There's also a few small articles about her in the NY Times. I know you will do an amazing job telling her story. Thanks brother. Much love.

Curious I wonder if there were some bogus model agencies set up during that time? During that time it was a lot of model & entertainment agencies popping up in New York and in California. Thinking because you said something interesting 🤔 that she was questioning her Aunt/Mother if she was pretty enough to be a model? And did someone tell her that? to strike her interest in modeling? Just a thought? And that could be a man or woman, who may have had that conversation with, what do y'all think? Instead of focusing on the one man that was accused of the other girl who was murder in the neighborhood.

Someone had to have seen something. The cops back then missed 5 whole days at the start where they could have asked EVERYONE if they remembered anything strange. It would have been fresh in their minds smh.. At 8am on a weekday the streets are not quiet, there are supers of buildings outside, parents, kids, delivery drivers unpacking. Was there a bodega nearby? Remember Etan Petz in Soho who was lured by the bodega clerk with candy. And who the hell told Tiffany “she was pretty enough” to be a model? That scared the hell outta me. She’s talking science then suddenly talking modeling-someone put that in her head. The police messed up so bad on this one. They need to find everyone who was outside at 8am on schooldays on every block from the bus to the school. Who rode the same buses as her? Who were the supers, who was delivering, who was working at her school too-janitors, cooks..sorry to say so much it’s so heartbreaking and typing out my feelings helps

Wow, she lived a few blocks away from me and was a year older when she disappeared. Had she gone to school in Bushwick I would’ve known her.

Huererman definitely took the life of this young girl and the woman in that area. They need to search the properties he was working on for any remains, including in his bosses old property. Also, these killers take trophies. They’ll connected him to these deaths if they care enough to do the work, somehow some way. They all deserve justice. 😢💔🙏🏾🕊️

Heuermann has done a lot of damage in the city, L.I.,and probably Westchester and maybe Jersey. The guy was bad news! They think he was killing in Culpepper, Va., too, when he lived there with his grandmother. Sick fk!

Someone had to be watching this innocent LITTLE BABYGIRL daily do her big sister duty ! And know she was alone for as many minutes as it took her to walk from one school to the next and they took advantage her being alone & snatched her and her life from not only her family but her as well. I really wish nothing but the best for her family and loved ones to finally know where she was is or went and maybe just maybe get some sort of closure😢❤

That case had me in tears, and broke my heart. That's one story I truly cannot bear to hear again too soon, after all this time. That young man should still be here with his family. I'm angry over how he was killed over something so stupid and senseless, on assumptions and half-truths, killed by a culture he was seeking to avoid.

Parents should* be arrested and charged for abandoning a 12 year old to fend for themselves, but if that same child fails to come home from school the police aren't bothered because they "probably just ran away." Baffles me every time, as if "runaway" children magically gain the ability to house, feed, and educate themselves. As of the thought of a 12 year old out alone on the streets of NYC shouldn't terrify a person. I say they should be arrested for such a thing but I have little faith in children's protective agencies to actually protect children. With examples like Elisa Izquierdo (withdrawn from school after having multiple teachers report she was in danger, never seen alive again), Nubia Barahona (missed medical appointments, multiple people voiced concern about her well being before she was adopted by the people who ultimately killed her), and Harmony Montgomery (placed in her father's care despite her special needs and with no assessment done to determine if her father could meet them), maybe I'm expecting too much from law enforcement. They don't give a damn about those children, why should they give a damn when a perfectly healthy, happy child disappears? Anyway I'm not sure I believe that Rex had anything to do with Tiffany in particular, but I do think that potential connection warrants further investigation.

Such a beautiful little lady!! I know not everyone is religious, I am & I REALLY hope that whoever knows something about her disappearance is religious as well. Because , we’re ALL getting older & no one knows how much time we have left, & praying for forgiveness, I don’t think is enough when you have the option to do the right thing!! I hope that SOMEONE comes forward & gives the family some answers & hopefully give Tiffany a place to rest & have her loved ones be able to visit her!🙏🙏

Hey bro, I was just wondering if you can do some research and upload a video on the crazy history of the Tropicana nightclub in the Bronx. I’ve been searching but don’t know where to find the answers. I lived one block from it my entire life but didn’t know about its intense history.

I was 7 around the time when this happened but this story seems very familiar, I think her mom was my step father’s niece (he’s deceased). Her brothers name is Israel but we all called him pepper and his bothers name is Mikey. I could be wrong but I Remember seeing her picture whenever we visited my stepfathers moms house. Either way, it’s an extremely sad story and it breaks my heart smh.
