Unfortunately, the Wheel Inn in Sedalia is no longer in business. It closes sometime in 2007, and many items were sold at auction to settle owed bills. I lived in Sedalia in the mid 70's. It was a happening place back in the day.

I've had occasion to visit McDonnell County on business in earlier years; you missed an early Jessie James movie done there with some names that became widely known in the years since; and there are annual Jessie James days celebrations. - And then there is the "Unpleasantness" of the early 1860s (also known as the Civil War) and the various confederate state capitals. I was forewarned that there are some portions of southwestern Missouri that appear to have not exactly forgotten or forgiven the "war of northern aggression". - I have also visited the Wilson's Creek site near Springfield, a fine historical display.

I've got a strange event that happened to me in Missouri at lake of the ozarks in June of 1980. Where 2 people tried to kill me and the Missouri Law Enforcement did nothing but run me out of the state because they were afraid of what I might do if I ever found out who it was that tried to kill me. So I never got to see any justice for myself, because of the corruption in the county of Camdenton County. With both the sheriff's office and Missouri State Waterpatrol loosing records about my mishap of being left for dead at the ft of the ol' tieside at lake of the ozarks.
