Regardless of the recording quality of the band's KZbin videos I've watched so far: Playing and performance are great but dynamics/balance are not really there. For instance, depending on the song, either the guitar is louder than the organ or the other way around. The volume level of both doesn't change much and that oftentimes tends to overpower the vocals. I guess that the FOH engineer has to make sure that the vocals are still there. "Making everything louder than everything else" is only working out if the band has great dynamics. A good dynamic range also places higher demands on the sound of the individual instruments. If the players persued that challenge they will for sure find out that their gear is very limited in that regard. Deep Purple's gear is very expensive and heavy for a reason.
