it's legal except if such action cause a disturbance of the peace, you could still be asked to leave. Also being legal doesn't mean it's socially acceptable, like staring at someone is legal, but most people wouldn't be doing that.

@@cindysmith1195 I believe the word you were looking for was expectation, but you are correct. This is clearly scripted. The person taking the pictures and being approached/harassed would have a more legitimate reason to call the police than the supposed victim or those stepping in on her behalf. Taking pictures of a minor on a public bench while saying what he was would undoubtedly be creepy behavior, but not illegal.

This is why I ask permission before taking pictures of people for my photography stuff that I enjoy doing then put the pictures online for competition's with other photographers. Photography has also been helping me with dealing with my mental disorders and my anxiety issue's. 12 Sep 2024 Thanks Matt. Just caught this very recently uploaded video about half-hour ago. Had to read through/digest/ruminate/evaluate the 95 comments this very minute before deciding to add my say here, to do justice to all the earnest and heart-felt responses and gut reactions. It's also a nice change from your erstwhile themes of "homeless/hungry/thirsty/about to be 'kidnapped' kid approaching strangers" for succour and emotional assurance. Kudos to the kids' role play. They have been taught well. Again I say this even as uttered in my previous assertion related to an earlier video : How anyone can so cynically and offhandedly dismiss the whole "social experiment" as falsely staged, and the reactions of the public-spirited unknowing "participants" as scripted/rehearsed is really the pits. I do wonder about such unthinking outbursts. Are they blind or what? Or just plain envious because you are doing a (reasonably) good job? Paedophiliac behaviour ranks among the most vile immoral conduct (along with child trafficking/prostitution, incest, sexual assault/(gang) rape of course) attracting some of the heaviest court-mandated punishments. And rightly so. Why, even given some of Hollywood's shameful excesses and debauchery (drunken drug-fuelled parties, date rapes, drug trafficking, marital infidelity, domestic violence, (premeditated) "wardrobe malfunctions", child pornography, ostentatious flaunting of material one-upmanship, bribing school administrators to secure admission guarantee for one's child, bitching, cat-clawing, hair-pulling, nail-scratching, kicking and spitting altercations, the lot, SLAPPING A FELLOW ARTISTE ON STAGE AND PROCEEDING TO RECEIVE AN OSCAR AWARD MINUTES LATER, WITH APPLAUCE ALL ROUND!, criminal perjury during court proceedings), paedophiles are viewed with the greatest disdain, scorn and social ostracism. Doesn't matter if you are the almightly movie mogul. So it does bother me when viewers claim resolutely that the US Supreme Court has ruled that it is perfectly legal to be taking pictures of strangers as long as one "is on public property", because "there is no expectation of privacy in public". The series of to-ing and fro-ing exchanges with fellow commenters started with this lady and while I am no expert on US Constitutional law, somehow common sense seems to have been shown the door in instances. "People's emotions don't trump rights"; "People's feelings and emotions are not relevant to what is legal". That may be so in legalistic discourse and disputation but the very conception and formulation of laws must, surely and fundamentally, first take into consideration the public's feelings, emotions, individual rights to (intimate) privacy and a whole spectrum of cultural, religious and traditional, historical considerations (and that's not even a comprehensive framework of legal overview obligations). While the letter of the law must be the final wording, the spirit of the law serving as a humanist guidepost must not be overlooked. Would the aforementioned lady allow some stranger, without prior consent granted, to take pics/videos of her and boyfriend/ husband sharing an intimate moment on a park bench? And upload on social media platforms? Or have some creep aim the lens at her own daughter (and finding out much later doctored images of nudity posted on some child pornography/sex ring websites)? Think. I am therefore inclined to believe that @jason7119 and @UbstersNook have got it technically, morally, ethically and commonsensically right and true to the point. Gracias.

@bemilie2841Ай бұрын
You should have told the bus driver for you 2 to call the cops. This was done in a grocery store in France in 2021 when a man took pictures of women. The employees called the cops once they were told and stopped him from leaving. Turns out, this man was giving drug to his wife to film her being raped by other men (about a hundred) he invited in for 10 years. The court is judging 50 men who were identified and arrested, right now. All of it is thanks to one person telling a worker at the grocery store that a man is taking pictures of women and them calling the cops.
